El Coliseo es un anfiteatro elíptico en el centro de la ciudad de Roma, Italia, justo al este del Foro Romano. Es el anfiteatro antiguo más grande jamás construido, y sigue siendo el anfiteatro de pie más grande del mundo, a pesar de su antigüedad.
El Foro fue el centro de la vida cotidiana en Roma: el lugar de procesiones triunfales y elecciones; el lugar de discursos públicos, juicios penales y partidos gladiadores y el núcleo de los asuntos comerciales.
La colina del Palatino, que en relación con las siete colinas de Roma es la más central, es una de las partes más antiguas de la ciudad; ha sido llamada "el primer núcleo del Imperio Romano".

The colloseum is amazing and worth a visit but we felt overwhelmed with the amount of people there and it was just too busy for us, there's different ques depending on your ticket type which was confusing initially but staff are helpful, I think if we returned we'd probably book a small group tour

I am pretty sure I booked the tickets for Monday 22nd, some how. Received tickets for Sunday when I was not even I Rome at that time . I’ve landed on Sunday evening.

The Colosseum was a must-visit. However, it was already crowded at 10:00 am on a Sunday in late June. The tickets were sent via WhatsApp and email by Italytours, which was convenient. We paid 40 euros each for a ticket, which normally costs 20 euros each. The Forum and Palatine Hill were beautiful archeological sites, but with these tickets it was not possible to skip the line and we had to stand in a long queue in the heat. Although we were guaranteed a ticket with this option, the price was a bit high.

I didn't download the audioguide but it was worth it to pay a little extra to get the early timeslot we wanted to avoid the heat. It was good going round at our own pace rather than with a tour. We enjoyed the Rome and Troy exhibition.

Audio guide did not start as it should have and when it did…we had no idea where or what the audio was referring to. The numbered panels along the path to match the topic was not cleanly indicated / visible

I had an excellent experience visiting the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. The entry process was smooth and well organized, and the audio guide provided fascinating historical insights that really brought the ancient ruins to life. The tickets provided are just the official tickets sold at double the price. No internet in the area to listen to the audioguide. Audioguide provided is also free of charge and same as signposted around the colosseum so not getting extra. It is better to buy from official website but was sold out at my time.
