We took the tour with Lorenzo who was very good at helping us understand what happened in Berlin after the end of the Second World War. Lorenzo was very attentive to our curiosities and questions! Absolutely recommended!
Lorenzo was a very well-prepared, organized, and passionate guide, who handled a subject like the Cold War and its effect on Berlin, which is by its nature thorny and too broad to be covered in three hours, with clear awareness and critical detachment from both powers involved. He showed us less popular places, as well as Alexanderplatz and the wall graffiti, in a route useful for clearly visualizing even the most curious details of a controversial period. He also directed us in exploring younger and underground neighborhoods, making us discover the multiple essences of a plural and multiform Berlin.
Lorenzo fantastic guide, the tour covered the right places to be able to tell a topic as vast as the Cold War in just 3 hours, thanks also to the excellent preparation of our guide. Excellent recommendations on places and venues to visit as well.
Tour taken with the guide Lorenzo, punctual, knowledgeable, and engaging as we have rarely happened to find. He was able to tell the story of the wall and of Berlin during the Cold War with a wealth of detail but without ever being boring. Compliments! Tour where you walk a lot, you also travel by public transport (you need to buy a ticket), the duration is optimal for what you see, but at the end you almost want to continue even more!
Fantastic Antonella! She kept me hooked on the story for 3 hours that flew by! Unmissable, exciting, and intense tour
An unmissable tour to learn about the history and personal stories of post-war Berlin. Silvio also answered many questions, showing great professionalism and knowledge of the subject. Highly recommended.
Very nice visit. Many stories and anecdotes that Martin has shared with us.
Beautiful tour and pleasant group experience. Giulia expert and empathic guide. Experience to recommend to fully experience Berlin
Giulia was an excellent guide, very prepared and engaging. The tour was very informative and allowed me to learn about the wall that I did not know before. Definitely recommended!
During our stay in Berlin we did 4 guided tours with Vive Berlin Tours, all with different guides, very knowledgeable and engaging. The first tour was "TOUR BERLIN EAST AND THE WALL" led by Paolo, brilliant and theatrical; he managed to tell us in great detail some pages of the history of this city often less prominent than the Nazi period, but very important, transmitting the difficult emotions that Berliners felt, separated by a wall that transformed their lives again. The second tour was "TOUR YERZO REICH" with Silvio, prepared, professional and passionate; He helped us get to know Berlin during the Nazi period by adding to the historical dates known, details not found in the books or guides conveying his love for Berlin and for some characters who stood out for the courage to try to save lives. The third tour was "TOUR SACHSENHAUSEN CAMPO CONCENTRATION" led by Lorenzo, excellent at explaining in a simple and linear way historical events very difficult to understand when trying to understand the dynamics that led to certain horrors, always choosing the most suitable words but at the same time charged with respect for all the pain that a genocide can generate. The fourth tour was “ALTERNATIVE BERLIN TOUR” in which Antonella guided us to the most authentic part of Berlin, showing us the deep differences between the neighborhoods of this city and the beauties that lie hidden in the most unexpected alleys. An indispensable tour to better understand a multicultural city in constant evolution where some of the greatest artists such as David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Tom Hanks, etc. have passed with a sweet break based on Berliner. Thanks also to Jacopo, often present at morning appointments and always available and kind in listening to the needs of individuals. Ultimately it made a difference for us to rely on Vive Berlin Tours because with them we tasted the city in a way that we would not have been able to do independently.
