Si estás buscando un tour de café que profundizará tus conocimientos y te expondrá a interactuar con comunidades locales fuera de lo común, esto es para ti. Los tours se llevan a cabo en la comunidad de San Miguel Escobar en las afueras de Antigua (20 o 30 minutos) donde los caficultores lo guiarán a través de sus campos, explicarán el trabajo detrás del cultivo de café, lo guiarán a través de cada paso de procesamiento desde el grano hasta la infusión, y terminarán el tour uniéndose a usted para tomar un café en su casa. A lo largo del camino, aprenderá más que solo el proceso detrás del café: tendrá conversaciones auténticas y transparentes con productores a pequeña escala para escuchar de primera mano sus obstáculos, triunfos y objetivos como caficultores y experimentar su entusiasmo persistente y dedicación a la industria del café.

Itinerario
Caminarás por campos de café ubicados en la base del poderoso e inactivo volcán de Agua, que en la antigüedad fue llamado Hunapu por las tribus mayas que habitaban en la región. Adicionalmente, a lo lejos, se pueden ver los volcanes Acatenango y Fuego.

Absolutely amazing experience! The translator, farmer and his family were so kind, and very genuine.. it truly felt like an authentic Guatemalan experience. I did this with a group, and if I lead another one here we are 100% going to do this tour again!
The coffee farmer was super authentic and his passion for coffee is what made this activity special! Instead of going with a big cooperation we choose to take this experience with an individual farmer who is taking care of his coffee. We enjoyed this experience and recommend it to everyone that want an authentic experience!
What an amazing experience. Miguel (the producer) and Luis (the interpreter) were so accommodating and willing to answer any and all questions our group had. Miguel is a font of knowledge, and Luis was able to add in details about his family's experience as well since he was from the community. We spent about 45 minutes to an hour in the field and another hour at Miguel's home, where his wife, Rosa, showed us how to roast, grind, and brew a delicious cup of fresh coffee. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who loves coffee. Oh, and if you get car sick, like I do, know that the shuttle is only about 10-15 minutes. The farms are very close to Antigua.

Absolutely incredible experience! José was an amazing guide, and Gabi, our interpreter, was equally wonderful. They were both so genuine, welcoming, and humble—it truly felt like being invited into their home rather than just taking a tour. I absolutely adore Antigua, and this tour ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. You can feel the passion, care, and authenticity in everything they do. I'll definitely continue supporting them moving forward. I honestly wouldn't change a single thing—it was perfect from start to finish. The timing was just right, and every moment felt meaningful. We had a wonderful tour with Luis as our interpreter and the farmer Elizandra. The education of the farming practices as well as of roasting of the beans was perfect! It was a perfect combination of education and activity! What a great experience.

Highly recommend! We enjoyed our time with Andres and his family and Gabi our translator. You should be prepared to walk 20 min to the farm, slightly uphill but not difficult. Amazing views!
