Don Juan Tours Arenal es una empresa familiar que a través de sus recorridos enseña a los visitantes todo el proceso detrás de dos productos muy importantes en todo el mundo, el café y el chocolate. En este tour de café y chocolate, le enseñaremos todo el proceso del café, desde la semilla hasta la deliciosa taza de café. Una vez que finalice el recorrido del café, comenzaremos con la parte más dulce del recorrido, el delicioso chocolate. Al igual que el café, hablaremos sobre todo el proceso de chocolate, desde la semilla hasta la deliciosa barra de chocolate y terminaremos seleccionando algunos miembros del grupo para moler los granos de cacao y hacer su propia barra de chocolate. Una vez terminado, tendrá la oportunidad de probar varios tipos de chocolate, como el chocolate oscuro, el chocolate con leche y el chocolate blanco.

Una de nuestras características principales es la infraestructura que tenemos, ya que el Área del Arenal es conocida por tener un clima muy cambiante, pasa de ser muy soleado y húmedo a fuertes lluvias, incluso con tormentas eléctricas en algunas ocasiones, es por eso que El 100% de nuestros senderos están protegidos y hechos de cemento, lo que permitirá disfrutar del recorrido en días soleados o lluviosos. Las familias con niños que necesitan llevar su cochecito o las personas con alguna limitación física no tendrán problemas para caminar con una andadera, muletas o silla de ruedas.

Such a fun experience! The chocolate and coffee tasting was really good, and we learned a lot along the way. Everything was delicious and the staff was so nice. Definitely recommend checking this place out!
Kevin was so knowledgeable and patient with our many questions! He made it fun because we got to make our own chocolate bars and he roasted and brewed coffee for us.

We had a great tour amid coffee and chocolate plants, and learned all about the stages of growing and processing both coffee and chocolate. We even made our own chocolate samples with a variety of ingredients. And the coffee we sampled was rich and smooth. Would definitely recommend.
Waited for 40 minutes to be picked up at the agreed place. Phoned multiple times to check. Eventually picked up by a car 10 minutes after the tour started. Arrived 15 minutes late and told I was late and I had missed the start of the tour. Also asked to pay again. Not a great start. Gigi the tour guide was good but an unreliable start and not great value for money. Approach with caution.
If I could give more stars I would!!! highly recommend activity, it was one of our favorites and that’s coming from a 17 year old too! We learned about coffee and chocolate, made our own chocolate and had delicious coffee. Highly recommend.
This tour is fabulous. The guides are very knowledgeable. Our guide Dider was terrific. He took us step by step in the process of the Cacao plant to the final product. We learned how the plant appeared, how it germinates, the pods, seeds and then the drying process. Bonus is we were able to make our own chocolate with a variety of added ingredients (milk, sugar, cinnamon, etc). Next we learned about the coffee plant and the differences between the types of roasting. We learned about the process of pour over vs cowboy coffee. At the end we were able to sample some different chocolate and taste a variety of coffee.
