Ahmed was my driver. He was polite and friendly. He knew how to get to all the destinations I wanted to go to. He also provided insight for each place which was helpful. He spoke good English. I was having a difficult time prior to booking this, but Ahmed made my trip better and I consider him a true friend. Also a good driver!
If you're expecting a driver in a suit in a black new car, you may be disappointed. In our case, it was a poor English speaker with sweat stains on his shirt. The car was dirty, the trunk was full of empty bottles. There was no cold water in the car. At the end of the trip, the driver bought 2 bottles of water for us from a vendor on the street. The air conditioning barely worked and every time we got into the car we had to wait for the heat to subside. We did not refuse this service immediately only because we had little time in Cairo, and we did not want to waste time looking for a normal car without any guarantees. The driver was friendly, opened the doors and took us where we asked. But along the way he tried to drag us into shops of perfumes, papyrus and other tourist trinkets even after we made it clear that we were not interested in such things.
