Entra en el Museo de la Ópera. La Piedad inacabada de Miguel Ángel te mira fijamente. Las Puertas del Paraíso de Ghiberti arden de oro. Cada habitación, un ponche renacentista.
Los mosaicos se encienden sobre ti, escenas del cielo y el infierno que una vez coronaron las bodas de Medici y el bautismo de Dante. Luz, oro, shock.
463 pasos de sudor, arena, obsesión. El Juicio Final de Zuccari & Vasari te rodea. Entonces... tu momento en la cima. Florencia explota 360° bajo tus pies.
Tu boleto sigue funcionando. Regresa en 2 días y asalta la Torre de Giotto. 414 pasos, quemadura pura, adrenalina pura, skyline detonando. Tarda aproximadamente 45' en hacerse.

- El baptisterio cierra a la 1: 30 PM cada primer domingo del mes.
- Catedral está cerrada (debido a la misa) cada domingo y durante las fiestas cristianas.

What an amazing experience! And our tour guide Laura was absolutely delightful and a calming presence. She gave us so many wonderful details and truly seemed to love this beautiful sacred place she was sharing with us. Now… This is not for the light hearted however! There are ALOT of stairs - nearly 500. The stair wells are narrow and ONE WAY - after the first 100 or so there is no turning back. The stairs are steep and uneven. You need to be in shape and calm or don’t even try this. The climb gets tighter and the stairs get steeper and harder as you get closer to the top. The top two levels are magnificent to experience. To see the frescos up close is a totally different experience than seeing them from the floor. They are HUGE and you are eye level with them. Just stunning. It will make you emotional - especially the catharsis of it all. Take your time going down. I got a bit dizzy on the way down. But so proud that I was able to do it. I’d like to thank my dog for taking me on those long walks all these years. lol. Definitely a bucket list item while you can physically handle it.
Very easy instructions to meet our guide, who was very knowledgeable, and moved us through the museum and facts about the Duomo at a good pace. The climb to the top of the Duomo was steep and narrow but this was well documented in the joining instructions and worth it for the incredible views
Anastasia was the best tour guide I’ve ever had! She was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and funny, and made the whole tour such an enjoyable experience. One thing I really loved was how she spoke fluent English but would also speak in Italian and then explain the word or phrase in English. I found this so cool because it made me feel much more connected to the Italian culture and gave the tour such an authentic feel. She was also very thoughtful with the whole group. She always waited until everyone was together before continuing and made sure nobody was left behind or separated. It really felt like we were experiencing everything together as a group. Anastasia’s personality made the tour even better — she was funny, welcoming and genuinely made everyone feel comfortable. I would absolutely do another tour with her and highly recommend her to anyone visiting Italy!
This was the only tour I was a little apprehensive about, but I am so happy that we did it! Our guide was amazing and the stairs were a little challenging, but we all made it to the top. Don’t miss the view from the top. it’s worth every step.
