Sasha was great! He was the chef for our cooking class. **DISCLAIMER: this class does not include the picking of the ingredients as the description says, there were people in our group that were able to do that so i assume it was purchased off a different site** we started by checking out the restaurant which has gorgeous artisan decor and tile. we start by preparing the arroz con leche and setting it to boil then make the guac which is so fun! then we had a margarita break. i thought we’d get to make it but someone from the restaurant made it for us. they were delicious! they let you eat the chips & guac while you sip on your margaritas. then you make a quesadilla, sope, and enchilada with tortillas hecha a mano. every dish is done in partner work so bring a friend or partner. after eating our dishes, we eat the arroz con leche. the restaurant brought out different salsas to top our food with. i asked for something extra spicy and they brought out a habanero cream which was ugh so delicious. sasha sent us all the recipe book he used during the cooking class to use to make the dishes at home. thank you so much sasha you were amazing! and thank you so much to the restaurant la parilla for being so kind and hosting this event. overall, great experience!
We were treated to a hands on experience with a patient and diligent chef. Homemade salsas, guacamole, tortillas, tacos, enchiladas and rice pudding. All very authentic with incredibly fresh ingredients.
Sacha was a knowledgeable and very entertaining guide who obviously enjoys the work. Highly recommend.
Great cultural experience! The food was amazing and Sasha was a great instructor. It was one of the highlights of our trip.
I'm so glad I booked this cooking class! What a cool experience- everyone was so friendly and they had no problem accommodating for gluten-free. So tasty, so fun to go home with some new skills. Do it!
We had a great time with Diego. Made five dishes. Good guidance on ingredients and techniques. Everyone helped. Definitely feel like we could try this at home. Diego was happy to answer any and all questions. While we waited for our taxi we enjoyed learning more about Mexican food and traditions with Diego. Great family activity.
I paid $80 for a four hour experience. It was only two hours. The chef was very nice, but I did not learn any new cooking skills. The food was bland.
Nassim was a wonderful teacher and cultivated a chill vibe which matched our energy. He was informative about the ingredients, techniques and tools necessary to create our menu. We had a lot of fun and a lot of laughs! Drinks were fantastic too 🍹
Amazing cooking experience, food was delicious and location was nice. Chef was informative did get a bit hot but definitely worth the experience.
We had fun. Food was great. Drink was yummy. We were told to be there at 11:00 so we missed the trip to market and supposed continental breakfast. Was bummed. Going to contact company. I am sure they will make it right. It was a great experience.
