We have been looking forward to this cooking class so much in preparation for our holiday and time in Valencia. Megan arrived full of energy and wonderful vibes, we commenced our way to the markets with a little education along the way from fountains to architectural beauty, very knowledgeable. We collected the produce needed and headed back to the kitchen to whip up a storm. Welcome drinks and snacks awaited, followed by Pau sharing interesting facts about the Cava, White and Red wines and Moscato. Next we all made our way to our cooking stations, where Megan very patiently took us step by step through the process of cooking paella and Pau was wonderful in serving us some Tapas, topping up drinks and helping clear surfaces. They worked wonderfully as a team together. Before we knew it, food was ready! The group sat together and enjoyed the fruits of our labour and more wine. This experience was only made so fantastic because of the enthusiasm and atmosphere created by Megan and Pau. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making today so much fun and memorable! Dean.
If you're looking for an authentic experience in Valencia, I can't recommend this paella cooking class enough! From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The instructor was welcoming, knowledgeable, and made the class both fun and easy to follow. Learning the traditions and techniques behind authentic Valencian paella while cooking alongside new friends from around the world made the experience so much more meaningful. The paella was absolutely delicious, and sharing the meal together afterward was the perfect ending. It can be modified to suit various dietary needs. This was so much more than a cooking class—it was an experience that will be remembered and cherished!
You must take this paella cooking class! Victor was such a great host, guide, chef and teacher! Cormac served up the perfect cava, vino and drinks with good cheer and robust wit. Our fellow travelers were great and we all had a blast! And the paella turned out perfect! What a marvelous experience!
A truly wonderful experience and very good value. Megan is a fantastic head chef/tour leader - really knowledgeable and great at taking us through the cooking steps. We started at the market buying some fresh ingredients and then went to their restaurant - which is lovely - to make the paellas. We were served wine and nibbles while cooking - the process was great and the food we made was delicious. Would definitely recommend!
Perfect way to spend a few hours, the paella we made was so great, plenty of wine flowing and great company. I’d recommend for anyone, solo, couples, groups or families
This paella cooking class was so fun! Highly recommend. Starts with a visit to the big market in Valencia, then the guide (Juan in our case) walks you to the cooking destination while sharing fun facts/history along the way. It was hot outside but the second we got to the cooking location- cool AC was a warm welcome. You start with some cava, peeling beans, then Pau told us about the various wines they served… lastly, put your aprons on and get to the kitchen. The cooking experience was super fun. During the cooking, Pau brought out various tapas. Then everyone sits down to eat their paella. I can honestly say it was the best paella I’ve ever had- didn’t even compare to what we got at a restaurant we went to. Juan was super charismatic and had a passion for the city and especially paella. Pau was wonderful as well and clearly knowledgeable about wine. I did this class with my 18 y/o daughter and she would like to add “Juan was really good looking and a good time”. 😂
This is a great way to learn out to make Paella and also learn about Valencia. Reyes was an excellent teacher; Luna kept our wine glass filled while we were cooking. The entire class had a great time and the food and wine were delicious. Thanks so much for an enjoyable 4 hours.
We had an amazing time, Daniel was a great host and teacher, definitely one of the highlights of our trip! Would definitely recommend.
An incredible experience, Juan was an amazing host and taught us about the Valencian way of cooking Paella (the proper way)! 4 hours of culture, good wine, tasty food and great company!
It is worth the money and I really enjoyed it Juan and Cormac was very nice
