Comenzamos este día con Chichen Itzá, llegaremos casi cuando abren por lo que tendremos en sitio arqueológico sin tanta gente además mientras más temprano es menos caluroso. Un guia oficial le dará explicación (+-1 1/2hrs) acerca de esta antigua ciudad Maya, acerca del castillo de Kukulkan que tiene 30 metros de altura, acerca los calendarios que los Mayas reflejaron en él. Chichen Itzá tiene el campo de juego pelota más grande en toda Mesoamérica. Después del tour guiado, tendrán tiempo libre para disfrutar lo.
La segunda parada es en un refrescante Cenote muy bonito y muy tranquilo donde podrá disfrutar de un chapuzón. Allí mismo será la comida, hecha por gente de la comunidad Maya de la cooperativa, es decir comida regional.
En esta ciudad amarilla como es conocida, visitaremos el convento que fue construida sobre los vestigios de una pirámide Maya. Izamal es uno de los primeros pueblos Mágicos de México. Caminaremos hasta una de las estructuras Mayas, la pirámide de Kinich Kak Moo es una de las más grandes de Mesoamérica, en la que aún se puede subir. Para finalizar, tendrás la oportunidad de admirar el gran trabajo de uno de los artesanos que Izamal ofrece: -Cocoyol: joyería artesanal a base de las semillas de una fruta local y espinas del henequen. -Miniaturas: obras de arte en escala pequeña. -Papel maché: muy bonito trabajo hecho de papel, y pintado a mano. -Tallado de madera: este es arte de los más comunes en la región Maya.

Great experience. The tour is well calibrated. The guide (Jose) is very kind, knowledgeable and fun. We learned a lot. 100% would recommend As stated in the description of the tour, the entrance fee to Chichén Itzá is not included, but that was the only mandatory « extra expense »

Jose was an amazing tour guide. He truly cares about his Mayan culture and it showed through his knowledge of the sites that we went to throughout the day. His presence was informational, and never speaking to the history in a way that wasn’t supported by facts. A great combo experience - José was very knowledgeable about the area as a local. Getting to Chichén Itzá before the mobs from Cancun do is definitely a bonus! There is minimal cover there during the lectures at various spots, so be sure to bring sun protection! There may be umbrellas in the transport van. The cenote was beautiful - we were a little sad that bulky life vests were required as that made it difficult to swim around very well. The water was perfect. The food was delicious. Izamal was picturesque, and it was neat to climb a Mayan pyramid. It was typical for a multi-stop tour in that you really want more time at each place to explore, but you're on a timeline. They balance it as best they can.
