Great experience with Ekinox and Ricardo!

We, a family of four, had the best experience with Ekinox on the day tour to Chichen Itza from Cancun: Cenote, Valladolid, and Mayan Cuisine. Our tour guide was Ricardo, and he had tons of information for our group, which he called the Tequila Group! Although the weather was hot (98 degrees), the tour of Chichen Itza was great and very informative. Pickup was punctual. The food at the Maya restaurant was delicious. Two of our family members swam at the cenote, and they loved it. I highly recommend this tour if you are visiting Cancun, even if it means you are one day out of your all-inclusive resort. It is totally worth it!

Mostly forced shopping, barely any time at attractions.

This tour is perfect for if you wanna spend 2 hours waiting at an overpriced shop that they insist you shop at and not spend nearly enough time at the things you actually want to do (the things you paid to do). Also the Guide says that the main reason you should shop at their shop is because you will avoid getting a crappy product but in reality they’re justsalty at the vendors at Chichen Itza because they made them unemployed for a month when they went on strike. We had ZERO free time at Chichen and only 45 min at the Cenote (the best part) and a very short 30 min at the town. BUT 2 HOURS AT THE SHOP. At the end of the day we did have a decent time. But it was ridiculous how we barely had time at what we wanted to see and the day was brought to a complete halt with forced shopping (all priced in USD and for a small obsidian pyramid it was around $60+). We are rushed throughout every cool part. Barely being able to take pictures, not able to walk around and take in the sights.

An unforgettable experience thanks to some exceptional guides!

We did the complete excursion to Chichén Itzá, a cenote, food, and the visit to the charming town of Valladolid. Although we knew it would be a long day and the heat of Yucatán does not relent, the experience was absolutely incredible from start to finish. What really made the difference was our team of guides, Raúl and Ivonne. They were charming and super attentive. They were attentive to every detail, conveying their passion for Mayan history and ensuring that the whole group was comfortable, hydrated, and in good spirits. Thanks to your energy and professionalism, the hours flew by and the heat became much more bearable. The food was delicious (an excellent showcase of local cuisine), the dip in the cenote was the perfect oasis to cool off, and Valladolid captivated us with its colorful streets. I recommend this excursion 100%, but above all, I recommend going with Raúl and Ivonne! Thank you very much for making this day such a special memory.

Excellent tour with Jonathan and Freddy.

The visit to Chichén Itzá, the cenote, and Valladolid was very well organized. Jonathan, our driver, was very kind, punctual, and drove very safely throughout the entire trip. Freddy, our guide, was exceptional: very professional, with a great deal of knowledge and very interesting explanations that made the experience even better. As an aspect to improve, due to the heavy rain we could not enjoy or tour Valladolid as we would have liked. Furthermore, the food was disappointing: it was not very traditional, there were few options for children, and very few dessert options. In general, it was a very good experience and we recommend this tour, especially for the excellent service and professionalism of Jonathan and Freddy.

Great experience

The trip was amazing! Special thanks to Johnathan (our driver), Freddy (our guide), and Brenda from Sunwing, who made this experience possible. We opted for a private tour for 11 people, and overall, everything exceeded our expectations except for the food. Freddy is extremely knowledgeable and shared fascinating information throughout the tour, making the experience both enjoyable and educational. Valladolid is a beautiful town. We had about 30 minutes to walk around and explore, and it was definitely worth the visit. The cenote was another highlight of the day—the crystal-clear water and breathtaking rock formations made it an unforgettable experience. The tour itself was very well organized and thoughtfully planned. My only disappointment was the lunch. I was expecting traditional Mayan cuisine served in an authentic local restaurant. Instead, the meal was provided in a larger venue with catered food that was very similar to what was offered at our resort. While the food was acceptable, it did not provide the authentic cultural experience I had hoped for. Overall, I highly recommend this tour for its excellent organization, knowledgeable guide, beautiful destinations, and memorable experiences.
