Amazing tour, we had a lot of fun. Our tour guide Cristina was great and knew a lot about the places we visited. I would totally recommend this tour to people who don't have a clue on what to do in changsha.
Split into two separate 1 day tours due to itinerary at Zhangjiajie. Guide was Yan, a young chap with intimate knowledge of Changsha. His knowledge of the Hunan museum was pretty good. Chinese speaking. Just a group of four with three elderly. Our energy levels not high as we have limited walking capacity. We visited shao Shan (hometown of mao Zedong), walked around Changsha city a bit, Hunan museum, juzi island and took a cruise too Both guide and driver was energetic, patient, friendly, gave extra info as needed, was there to receive and send off at each point. Flexible with itinerary changes. Would recommend the said one day tour engagement! For the river cruise - just note that it's advertised as 188 per pax, but you'd have to pay another 128 (4 pax) when you get onboard to sit on the deck.. but free if you don't want to sit on the deck. For 128, you get some chips, 4 orange juice drinks and the preserved local marinated duck. It's a bit strange that they don't advertise it upfront, but collect it instead when you board.
What a great day. Our tour guide, Rebecca, met us in our lobby and looked after us throughout our day long tour ☆☆☆☆☆. Her knowledge of the Yuelu Academy and orange Island was fantastic and she was always on hand to answer any questions. A visit to a local restraunt was so good, the best food you could wish for. Thank you so much for looking after us Rebecca. Highly recommended ❤️
The best tour experience we ever do. Pues guide, Liz, she was very kind, attentive, and caring. She adapted to our needs at all times and demonstrated a great knowledge of the city and its best places to visit.

We had an absolutely brilliant day out with Bruce in Changsha! The city is bursting with energy and friendly locals, and Bruce made sure we saw it through a local’s eyes. The food was simply amazing — real, authentic Changsha flavours that you’d never find on your own. We loved walking around Orange Isle and enjoyed a light hike up the mountain for some great views. If you’re ever in Changsha and looking for a local guide, Bruce is the one to go with. Highly recommended!

The city really is full of life, and we’re glad Bruce could help you experience local flavours and sights like Orange Isle and those amazing mountain views. If you ever want to discover more of Changsha’s hidden gems, Bruce will be ready to show you around again!
The tour made it very easy to see the main sights of Changsha - although one day would not be enough to do everything. This is a very relaxed tour and the itinerary was agreed on the day. What I enjoyed was the local feel - we took the subway or walked vs riding around in a private car. For me there was the right balance between historical knowledge and getting the perspective of local lif in Changsha and China.

We spent a wonderful day in Changsha with Lisa as our tour guide. We visited Yuelu Academy, Orange Island, Taiping Old Street and she even found a fantastic restaurant so we could satisfy our craving for crispy duck! Lisa is friendly, welcoming and speaks excellent English. She introduced us to many interesting aspects of this busy city that we would never have discovered on our own. She is very knowledgeable and shared the history of the places we visited in an interesting and engaging way. Conversation flowed all day on everything from food, culture, education, family life and a host of other subjects. As non-Chinese speakers it can be difficult to navigate booking systems, public transport, taxis etc - Lisa’s assistance made this effortless. It removed the stress and we gained so much more out of our time in Changsha than trying to do this on our own. Lisa is an excellent guide and highly recommended.
