This was a great way to spend an enjoyable evening in Siena. Four couples who had never met shared learning how to make traditional ravioli, pappardelle, ragu sauce, and tiramisu from scratch. This is a hands on experience but don’t let that dissuade those that are timid around a kitchen. Our host Enza opened her home for a wonderful evening of learning and laughs. We then all settled in to enjoy the fruits of our labor along with wine and espresso. By the end of the night we were sharing contact info and talking about finding ways to meet again. Hopefully for some homemade pasta!
We did not know what to expect, but had a wonderful afternoon snd evening in the private home. We were offered different choices of pasta to learn and of course Tiramisu. The relaxed atmosphere and no-nonsense approach to the dishes meant that we know are ready to continue cooking pasta the same way at home. We had dinner with the family at their terrace, and felt at home despite only having met them a few hours ago. Will definitely recommend to anybody with love for Italian food and culture.
We enjoyed our cooking experience with an Italian family. The cooks daughter and son-in-law provided translation. We made 2 types of pasta from scratch then tiramisu. Amazing and unforgettable experience.
This was one of most memorable experiences we had while in Italy! Enza was a fantastic hostess/teacher. It felt like a family gathering. Not only did we bring back the experience, we brought back recipes of some of the best food we had while in Italy. Everybody agreed it was the best tiramisu we’ve EVER had. I feel I now have the confidence to make homemade pasta instead of reaching for a box. I highly recommend.
Enza goes above and beyond to make her guests feel welcome and part of the cooking experience. This was the highlight of our stay in Siena. We will be making Pasta and Tiramisu when we get home.
Ilara was the most amazing host. Everything was pretty much perfect. From the moment we arrived at her home we were welcomed in and made to feel one of the family. We learnt to make delicious pasta and tiramisu. After cooking we sat down to a meal with her family. We all sat outside in the dappled sunshine and enjoyed a wonderful meal with Ilara, her husband Stefano and their daughter. Stefano shared wine from the vineyard he works at with us and we all sat and enjoyed beautiful Italian hospitality. Right from booking Ilara was responsive and very helpful. We were a group of 8 and it was a very special day. Thank you so much Ilara and Stefano for such a great experience!
Our night spent with Ilaria was one of the best nights of our 2 week trip in Italy . We cooked 2 types of pasta and tiramisu. She also had a “baby tiramisu “ for us to take back to the hotel to enjoy another night! Ilaria was warm, kind and generous! We shared the lovely meal with her husband and 14 year old daughter. Everything was delicious! Homemade ragu, bruschetta, wine completed our meal. Ilaria was a great teacher and I would highly recommend an evening spent with her at her beautiful home outside of Siena.
My fiance and I had the best time at this pasta and tiramisu class! From the moment we arrived, Cesarine Enza made us feel so welcome. She was just so warm nd passionate about teaching, explaining each step clearly, and making sure we were all involved. The setting was intimate and cozy, which made the experience even more special. The tagliatelle we made was incredible, and the tiramisu was hands down the best I’ve ever tasted! It was a such an authentic experience and I’ll never forget it. Highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Siena!
So much fun! Learned a lot. Food was delicious. Host was friendly and talented. Only two of us in the group. Wonderful experience.
This experience was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. Our group learned how to make delicious ravioli, tagliatelle and tiramisu from scratch, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Not only was Genny an amazing host and teacher, she was also so kind. Along with Genny, we also met her family, which made the experience more special. Her whole family went above and beyond to welcome us. She even had birthday candles for our tiramisu since it was my husband's birthday. I cannot recommend this cooking course enough!
