Viajaremos al campo de batalla de Culloden, donde los jacobitas perdieron muchas almas en el levantamiento de 1946. Esta fue la última batalla que se libró en suelo británico. Si el tiempo lo permite, daremos a los invitados la oportunidad de caminar en el campo de batalla. Dependiendo del recorrido, es posible que no nos detengamos, sino que simplemente conduzcamos.
Después de una visita de media hora en Clava Cairns, haremos una vuelta por la esquina para ver el famoso viaducto de Culloden o Nairn, diseñado por Murdoch Paterson y abierto como un cruce de ferrocarril en 1898. Es un espectáculo para la vista: habrá oportunidades para tomar fotos.
Cawdor Castle es un castillo vivido en el que se escribe en MacBeth de Shakespear, cuando se refiere al Thane de Cawdor y la predicción. Cuenta con espectaculares jardines y audioguías guiadas en su propio idioma.
Dejar en la ciudad para ir de compras o ver las iglesias y calles históricas. Puede variar entre 30-90 minutos para esta parada.
Saldremos del castillo de Urquhart alrededor de las 14:00-14:30 para viajar por una ruta panorámica hasta Beauly y pasar por el priorato histórico, ahora en ruinas, construido en 1230 por una orden de monjes franceses poco conocida. También es el lugar donde se supone que Claire, de la fama de Outlander, conoció a Mairi. Es el verdadero sitio del cementerio de los jefes del clan Fraser, del que está relacionado el personaje ficticio de Outlander, Jamie Fraser. Si el tiempo lo permite pararemos.
Viajando hacia adelante a través de la ciudad de Inverness, pasaremos por el histórico ayuntamiento y el Castillo de Inverness. Cruzando el río Ness hacia el lago Ness, donde debes estar preparado para ver a nuestra leyenda, Nessie, el monstruo del lago Ness. Disfrute del cómodo paseo por el lago Ness, que dura unos 30 minutos, en busca de un avistamiento de la propia Nessie. El último avistamiento famoso registrado de ella fue hace unas décadas, pero vivimos con la esperanza de que pronto vuelvan a fotografiarla. Was an excellent trip except for the fact that the tour guide brought up politics repeatedly. Went as far to say I don’t like the orange man. Don’t care what side of the isle you’re on, I’m on vacation and a tour of Scotland, keep politics out of it. I want to know historical facts not your opinion.
Had a marvelous time. Mo was fantastic. She’s knowledgeable, humorous, great stories. She’s the kind of person that makes you wanna come back!

We spent our short time on land docked in Invergordon with Mo and Jordan leading us on a bus all over Inverness to see the main sites. Mo is an expert on all things local! I only wish two things… 1. That we had more time at Culloden and Loch Ness and 2. That we had been able to see the Clava Cairns. I might have booked a slightly different tour had I known that was out due to bus access. So know that before you book- FYI. Otherwise a great day with lucky sunny Scottish weather!

Great Tour. Easy access from cruise ship. Our tour guide did a great job. My personal favorite was the Cawdor Castle and gardens. I could have spent more time there.

This was a great excursion. We got picked up from the port. Danny, our driver and tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided history of all the area we visited or passed by. He manages our time well. We didn't feel rushed. As a matter of fact because there were just 6 of us in the minivan (plenty of room) we even have extra time to walk around the beautiful city of Inverness to eat and shop. We got to see the Highland cows at Robinson's farm, which was awesome! Loch Ness was a sight to behold! The view was spectacular. The water is clear, however we didn't see " Nessie". Next stopped was the historical Culloden battlefield, we walked around the field and even have time to have lunch afterwards. Then off to Clava Cairns to see the ancient standing stone and burial cairns. Afterwards we went for a self guided tour of Cawdor Castle , we were provided with an audio device to listen to while walking inside the castle. The castle gardens are beautiful and well maintained. We had an enjoyable drive through out the beautiful countryside . Thank you Danny. No boring moment. This was one of our best Scotland excursion. I highly recommend this tour. And of course we got back to our ship with plenty of time to spare!

New, clean comfortable bus driven excellently by our driver Jordan. Moe our tour guide provided historic-information at each of the sites we visited in Inverness and surrounding towns. Cawdor castle was a delight and comfortable trek. Many thanks to Moe to quick wit and vast information.
