Llegada a Zipaquirá – Patrimonio Histórico y Cultural Al llegar, nos adentraremos en este encantador municipio, reconocido por su arquitectura colonial y su rica herencia histórica. Zipaquirá fue habitada originalmente por los indígenas muiscas, quienes explotaban la sal como fuente de riqueza y comercio.
Exploración de la Catedral de Sal Una vez en la Catedral de Sal, descenderás 180 metros bajo tierra a través de túneles iluminados con una atmósfera mística. Durante el recorrido, harás paradas en las 14 estaciones del Vía Crucis, cada una con esculturas talladas en sal que representan la pasión y muerte de Cristo. Visitarás la Cúpula, el Nártex, la Gran Cruz tallada en roca de sal, y los impresionantes tres altares principales. Maravíllate con el efecto óptico de la bóveda de luz y la majestuosidad de este templo subterráneo, reconocido como el segundo lugar de culto más impresionante del mundo. Podrás explorar la Galería de Minerales, el Espejo de Agua y otros espacios llenos de historia y simbolismo.
Recorrido Opcional por el Centro Histórico de Zipaquirá Después de la visita a la catedral, podrás disfrutar de un breve paseo por el centro histórico de Zipaquirá. Sus calles empedradas, balcones coloniales y su hermosa plaza principal te transportarán a otra época.
Regreso a Bogotá Luego de una jornada llena de historia, cultura y belleza arquitectónica, emprenderemos el regreso a Bogotá, donde serás trasladado de vuelta a tu hotel o punto de origen.

Pierre was an excellent guide. He was prompt and took us on the scenic route so we could enjoy the countryside. He took us to a great lunch restaurant and gave us recommendations on local dishes. He was also very thoughtful and kind throughout the entire experience making us feel comfortable. Highly recommend him for this experience.

Great tour guide and Salt Cathedral is an amazing place. The ride accommodations were great and I met people from all over the world. They also dropped me off back home at 5pm.

Carmelo was a great guide and our group of strangers became friends on our day out. The salt Cathedral was amazing. The lunch not included was my final meal in Colombia and was so good. More time in the town centre please and I missed out on visiting the castle that we fleetingly passed. Should have been 15 minutes stop. But Bogotá traffic lost us time. Van AC was not cold enough.

I have booked the tour at 10pm the night before, and they were able to accomodate me for the next morning - and I was the only one in the tour! They went above and beyond to make sure I have an excellent time, the company communicated in great English with me via What's app to confirm the driver location and name and made sure I found them. And the driver - Carlos - was just the best. I practiced my Spanish with him and he made sure he spoke extra slowly for us to converse, I had just the best time. Carlos gave me a fantastic customer experience in his big SUV with air-conditioning and comfortable seats for the 90 minute drive through Bogota traffic. The cathedral itself was nice, I did the English audio-tour (included in the price) - although they seem to offer also guided tours in Spanish - and it took me 1 hour to listen to every one of the 22 stops in the Cathedral. The nearby city is cute, we made a quick pitstop to take some photos of the square. I would highly recommend the tour company and Carlos as a driver to anyone.
