Dunn's River Falls en Ocho Ríos es una de las atracciones más populares de Jamaica. Es una cascada natural alimentada por un manantial subterráneo. Definitivamente es uno de los lugares más bellos que jamás haya visto. La apariencia perfecta de esta cascada puede hacerte pensar que está hecha por el hombre. NB: Esto es solo para el transporte hacia y desde la atracción, una vez que esté en el sitio habrá una tarifa de entrada de $ 25 por persona para el recorrido.

Cuando llegues, serás recibido por el burro residente de Dunn's River Fall. Se llama Bunny. Una vez que baja a la playa, aquí es donde comienza a escalar las cataratas. Tiene la opción de tomarse de las manos y formar un tren, o puede intentar encontrar su propia ruta hacia la cima. Esté atento a las rocas de color oscuro. Esa es una señal de que podría ser muy resbaladizo.

Driver not super friendly. Had to ask him a couple times to turn down the R&B music in the car. Some of it with foul language.

Great place and well worth a visit. We didn’t have the guided tour up the falls but went in at various points for photos but would recommend it Good value for money

Climbing the falls was an amazing experience and our guides were great. The line to get a guide was very long due to a group from a cruise ship tour that came in, but I would not attempt to climb the falls without one - especially if you have children. Mine are seven and nine years old. It’s very tricky and can be dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing. You can skip the line and just play in the Falls with no problem, but if you want to climb it from top to the bottom, a guide is the way to go. There’s no charge for a guide, but they do request a gratuity. There’s also a lovely beach at the bottom of the falls with beautiful water. There’s a small splash pad area with a waterslide, but it was mostly for younger children. My seven and nine-year-old were a bit too big for it. On the way out of the park, there are many local vendors selling crafts, and they can get quite aggressive. It made me a bit uncomfortable. I wish I had a camera in a waterproof pouch to take photos. You can’t bring anything you don’t want to get very wet on the climb. water shoes are required and you can buy decent ones for $10 there. They also have lockers available.

The Falls were magical. Well worth the drive from Negril. Our tour guide and driver, Robert “Bob” Graver, from “Know Jamaica Tours” was fantastic. He arrived early at our hotel and told us all about the various places we saw as we drove to the falls. He even took us to a great road side restaurant for awesome jerked chicken and pork. We really enjoyed this tour and will remember it as one of our best trips in Jamaica.
