Beautiful views and wild life. Lucky to see 2 female herds of bison and a couple males. Our driver had an eagle eye and spotted a young fox that we watched for a few minutes while he cleaned himself, adorable. As expected it was slightly dusty but not too bad. Nice pit stop at the airport in the sky (could have spent longer there, so much to look at). We grabbed a quick snack and a couple beers. We appreciated our guides info about local history, the Wrigley family and the Conservancy along with the local flora and fauna.
We saw Bisson!!! Very fun talk as we road in the back country. The driver and narrator have eagle eyes to spot the Bisson. We would have missed them.

This experience was ok and not worth the money. I also had trouble with your driver or tour guide stealing items from me I accidentally left behind on the truck. I know for a fact that it was found by one of them because another person on truck saw me in the street and let me know they were looking for me after the tour because I left a gift bag on the truck. When I saw the tour truck driver he lied and stated that it was turned into office and that the office will not be open. I went to office anyway and they were open and item was not there and also they called the pier and item was not there either. It was gone. I hate to know that if anyone left their wallet or purse behind it wouldn’t have been handled appropriately either. The employees need to be more honest that work there.
Our family enjoyed learning some of the history of the Catalina land and venturing into it with Catalina adventure tours. The ride was a bit bumpy in the back seats, but the front seats were much less bumpy. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Spacious room with lovely view in a lush setting uphill. Very quiet. Adequate transportation to town but keep in mind that you do need transportation to do anything on the island.
Sergio was an amazing guide! We had so much fun and learned a lot. He interacted with all the guests and kept us entertained!
The communication between Adventure Tours and Viator customer was lacking. The meeting place at the pier was changed and we were not informed. There were only two seats left after running to meet the bus. Friends could not go. Scenery was boring. The cold wind was relentless. Shivering! Could not see what was pointed out. Pauses for pictures were way too short. Have used Viator in Europe and was always impressed. This was miserable!
The tour wasn’t spectacular. It was an average tour. I wouldn’t call the guide a “naturalist”. I guess we’ve seen much more interesting places with more wildlife.
Take this tour if you visit Catalina Island! The guide is very entertaining and talks about the island's history while you take in all of Catalina's beauty and snap some great photos. You can't miss it!
