Had a fabulous trip from Paris to the Chambord Castle in the Loire Valley! The castle is incredible with amazing architecture and views. We strolled the gardens and grounds which are beautiful . You can eat shop and buy wine in the village area. What made our trip special was our guide Doru whose knowledge of history was amazing and added so much to our trip. When we saw the various portraits in the castle, we had a real sense of who the people were and how they lived. If you go, ask for Doru and you will have a great experience!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review and kind words. It was a real pleasure spending the day with you at Chambord. I’m very happy you enjoyed the beauty of the castle, the gardens, and the stories that bring its history to life. Guests like you make this work a joy. I truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again on another trip from Paris.
The majestic Château de Chambord is most likely the largest castle/historical residence in France after the Palace of Versailles or, at any rate, is certainly among the largest castles in the Loire Valley. Unfortunately, we could not get inside the castle, as, the last access was at 17.30 (for this I gave 4 points out of 5) time, which in July and then in the middle of summer, in my opinion, is too reduced. I can understand in the Palace of Versailles that it is an immense structure and therefore it takes a long time to get all the tourists out, but in Chambord despite being very large, they could close at 6.30 pm (at least from June to August). However, seeing even just externally this imposing castle, gave us great emotions and satisfaction, we were enchanted for several minutes. Awesome castle for how beautiful it is. Really spectacular.
Loire Valley is a great place to visit. But Chambord is the cherry on top. So well preserved, the garden so well manicured. And the interiors well preserved, it shows great care and love for the old world. Don't miss it!
We have to wear comfortable shoes and be willing to climb many flights of stairs. Food in the restaurants was so good!
Many thanks for the review and everything
Very nice day, exceptional driver Service, very friendly guide though it was a bit fast, quite expensive but for the Service offered it is okay if I would have found this activity in group it would surely have been cheaper but I think it was worth it and it was a very good option. For the castle to see once in a lifetime but not twice in my case. Thank you.

Our guide shared a lot interesting facts along the way and was super helpful. He was polite, easy to talk to, and took good care of us. I loved learning about Da Vinci's genius!
