If you're thinking about visiting El Yunque, do yourself a favor and request Alex. From the moment he picked us up until the end of the tour, it felt less like being on an excursion and more like exploring Puerto Rico with a longtime friend. Alex is the complete package—friendly, funny, incredibly knowledgeable, patient, engaging, and, most importantly, safety-conscious. He made everyone in our small group feel comfortable, whether it was our first hike or our hundredth. His instructions were clear, his encouragement was genuine, and he never rushed anyone. His passion for Puerto Rico shines brighter than the Caribbean sun. Every stop came alive with stories, history, and local insight that transformed a beautiful hike into an unforgettable experience. He had us laughing one minute and standing in awe of nature the next. Sliding down the natural waterslides and swimming beneath the waterfalls was exhilarating, but Alex was the steady current that made the entire adventure flow effortlessly. He didn't just guide us through El Yunque—he helped us experience its heart. If you want memories instead of just pictures, book with Alex. 📞 Call or text Alex at +1 (939) 277-0507 and tell him Tiffany from Atlanta referred you. You'll thank yourself later!
We had the best tour guide, the two were amazing. So much fun. Traveled with two young kids and this has been the best part of our vacation so far. Thank you 🇵🇷💙🤍
This tour was exactly what we were looking for. Our guide Alex was courteous, professional and so much fun! From the pick up to drop off he treated us like family. He was knowledgeable about all of the wild life as we walked through the rainforest. Guided us step by step through the more difficult parts of the waterfalls and even took photos and videos at every jump, slide and swing. I would give more than 5 stars if I could!
Not knowing what to expect turned out to be an awesome experience. I liked the small group vibe. Better than the bigger groups. Definitely recommend.
Eliu was an amazing tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and communicative. He picked us up directly from our hotel and dropped us back off for no extra charge. He knew the best time to go was early, so we didn’t have to wait for 100’s of people to climb up to get to the waterslide and rocks to jump off. It was absolutely gorgeous! The hike itself was easy.
It was great! Our guide Eliu picked us up a few minutes early so that we could beat the crowd and it turned out perfectly. We had a great time and the group was super friendly.
This was a great experience! The initial hike is over a clearly marked trail, which can be muddy but isn't difficult. To get to the water activities is more physically challenging. Eliu is an amazing guide! He clearly communicated ahead of time with schedules and requirements. He made sure to get us there early before the crowds. Eliu helped us with everything, from what to expect and do, support on the trail, and taking care to make the experience a great one! There are some tricky spots when climbing over rocks and roots to get to the water activities, but Eliu was there for help. The drive was comfortable and safe. Wear a water shoe with a thicker sole or sneakers that you don't mind getting wet/submerged.
I thought everything was in one area but the second hike up to the slides and cliffs is directly uphill. I didn’t realize that when I booked. But overall this was a good trip! Definitely worth going to the rainforest to be fully submerged in Puerto Rico’s natural environment and learn about the native plants.
Our tour guide was Eliu and was absolutely the best! He picked us up on time in front of where we were staying. I think we were some of the first people to arrive so we beat all the crowds. I didn’t know what to expect on the hike but Eliu will show you the way. He really made you believe you could do anything once you make it to the top of the waterfall. You can bring a phone and Eliu will keep it dry and take some of the best video’s and photos. I will treasure these of my kids swinging off the rope. The return was just as easy and he is a great driver to get you around those mountains.
Be ready for a good time. You will get wet. The hike isn’t very long but can get a little slippery. Wear water shoes and have some water proof bags.
