Un guía profesional lo llevará desde su hotel en Basov y se dirigirá a la carretera más espectacular de Europa: Transfagarasan. Nos detendremos primero y visitaremos el Monasterio de Carta construido en estilo gótico tardío, por los monjes cistercienses que llegaron a Transilvania desde Borgoña - Francia. La Autopista Transfagarasan es la carretera de montaña más espectacular y hermosa de Europa, lo suficiente como para aparecer en el salón del automóvil Top Gear del Reino Unido. La Autopista Transfagarasan podría ser simplemente "la mejor carretera del mundo", como afirmó el presentador de Top Gear, Jeremy Clarkson. Es un camino que sube a las montañas y une Transilvania con Valachia. Grandes escenarios, cascadas ruidosas, lago Glaciar Balea, te harán sentir muy bien allá arriba y olvidarte del estrés de la ciudad. Durante el invierno, entre los meses de noviembre y julio, subiremos en furgoneta hasta el hotel Balea Cascada 1446, desde donde tomaremos el teleférico (a partir de aquí la carretera está cortada por la nieve). El precio del teleférico no está incluido.

Es un lago glaciar glacial situado a una altitud de 2034 m en la montaña Fagaras. Rodeado de montañas ofrece una vista milagrosa a su alrededor. Tiene una profundidad máxima de 11 m y se pueden ver sus cáscaras, cómo nadar truchas. En invierno Cerca del lago, estás construyendo el hotel de hielo, una iglesia de hielo y un iglú. Podemos visitarlos y probar habitaciones y camas de hielo fresco.

- Entre el 1 de noviembre y el 1 de julio, después de 1460 la carretera está cerrada, aquí en el Hotel Balea Cascada subiremos a nuestro automóvil y luego tomaremos el teleférico hacia el lago Balea. Las entradas del teleférico no están incluidas en el precio de la entrada. Coste de unos 12 euros hacia arriba y hacia abajo.

The tour was great. The Transfagason Highway and mountain was amazing and our guide was very knowledgeable and the car was very comfy. The cable car up to the mountain was not included in the price and it was a bit pricey but we enjoyed this tour. We also visited the monastery and the UNESCO Sighisoara town which we loved.

Excellent guide and driver,, clean and comfortable car, cable car fees not included and were surprisingly expensive. Overall enjoyable experience.

In the summer when the Transfagarasan is fully open there is no need to use the cable car, we go up to Balea Lake by car, and then we avoid paying for the cable car Best regards Traian B
