Very nice experience ! It was best choice we made to rent a boat for 8h with all of our friends. Damian was very friendly and helpful and talked us through what we can do in capri. Also Sabrina contacted us one day before and helped us to book lunch at a very nice restaurant. We highly recommend having a day trip with private boat. We had an amazing experience 10 🌟
Overall, im happy we got to see the Blue Grotto but the overall experience was just "ok". For starters, the price of the boat tour itself is not super reasonable then, you have to pay for marina pick up ($100 eu) and then you have to pay for fuel ($300 eu). The tour advertises several sights that you will see but we really only hit 2-3 stops, on top of it, our skipper wasn't very informative (super quiet). As we were heading to the Blue Grotto, he tried to convince us not to go because it was going to be a long wait. Somehow, we paid another $200 eu to get in due to the wait; we were in there maybe 60 seconds and I lost my credit card when transferring from one boat to the next. Which was not obvious until our stop for lunch, our skipper pulled out his card without hesitation (we sent him $ via Paypal), for that we were incredubly grateful since the card was lost at sea. However looking back at our photos, the excursion was super rushed, we didnt hit many spots, didn't get much info, even the famous photo in front of the Faraglioni rocks, he cut off half the rocks so we dont even have a decent photo. :( Lastly, the boat looked like it was on its last leg, it was so bad. This is definitely too much for a cruise stop, since you have to ferry over and I would not book this tour again even when we come back. Instead book there locally and find a boat that looks the part with the right crew. Again, our skipper saved us at lunch and we took care of him; I will also say the staff were super responsive when booking but we've had wayyy better excursions similar to this in the past for $1500.
Enjoyable day trip from Positano to Capri. Great for sightseeing and pictures. Lorenzo our boat captain was a great guide. We stopped at Spiaggia di Marina Piccola area for lunch. After lunch we took a short 10 mins bus ride to the main town of Capri for a walk through the designer shops area. Some nice viewpoints for pictures there also.
Everything was great. Roberto the captain was fantastic and gave great information about the island. Multiple stops to swim, they’ll book a lunch for you, and super easy process. Would highly recommend, perfect for group or couple. Only thing to be aware of are the fees on top. 300 euro fuel fee and 100 euros if you want to dock at the main port. We docked at the small port (not that small and 20 euro, 10 min taxi to town) and dined at one of the restaurants. The only improvement I would recommend to company is having a driver pick you up from your hotel or villa. This may have been an option but I didn’t see it. For the 1,200 euro trip with tip, it would’ve been nice to have someone pick you up and drive you back, or at least drive you back to the main square. Other places where I’ve done private charters offer this and it’s a nice touch.
We loved every minute of it. Our boat’s man was the best, very friendly. He told us about the history and recent time of Capri
It was an incredible experience. Our captain Roberto was wonderful. He was natively accommodative of our asks. And made us want to come back. Strongly recommend!
Our private boat tour with Sorrento Sea Tours was truly the highlight of our trip! We traveled from Miami, and out of everything we did in Italy, this was by far our favorite day. The entire experience was seamless from start to finish. Everything was incredibly well organized, and our captain Manuel made us feel comfortable, safe, and welcome throughout the day. We had the perfect mix of sightseeing, swimming, relaxing, and enjoying the stunning beauty of the coastline. If you’re visiting Sorrento, don’t hesitate to book with Sorrento Sea Tours. They helped create memories that our family will never forget. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience, we would recommend you to everyone!
We had an incredible private boat tour of Capri with Sorrento Sea Tours, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip! Our skipper, Renato, was absolutely amazing. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel comfortable from the moment we stepped on the boat. Renato showed us all of Capri’s stunning sights, shared interesting facts about the island, and made sure we had plenty of opportunities to swim, take photos, and simply enjoy the breathtaking scenery. He tailored the day to what we wanted, making the entire experience feel personal, relaxed, and unforgettable. One of the best parts of the day was Renato’s lunch recommendation. He arranged for us to have a great table at Bagni Tiberio, a local, family-owned, authentic restaurant that he highly recommended. The food was absolutely amazing, and it ended up being one of our favorite meals of the trip. It’s the kind of place we never would have found on our own, and we’re so grateful for the recommendation. The boat was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and everything was seamless from start to finish. If you’re visiting Sorrento or the Amalfi Coast, we can’t recommend Sorrento Sea Tours enough. And if you have the chance, definitely ask for Renato—he went above and beyond to make our day in Capri absolutely perfect!!!
They did not respect anything they had committed to. A deception The private tour. The boat broke down halfway through the excursion to Capri and we had to return on our own to Sorrento without anyone from the company contacting us
GIanluca our skipper was excellent. He showed us the best of the Capri and the Amalfi Coastline. He stopped at some great swimming spots. This was the highlight of our trip.
