PANAROMA DE GÖREME El primer lugar en el recorrido es la vista panorámica de Goreme. Obtienes información sobre la historia, la formación de Capadocia mientras observas las chimeneas de hadas. Siguiendo la información, tiempo libre para fotografiar.
Después de conducir unos 40 minutos, llegada a Ciudad Subterránea. Esta ciudad subterránea fue utilizada por primera vez por la población local como un congelador natural, y más tarde por los romanos tardíos como refugio contra posibles invasiones árabes. Con las explicaciones claras de su guía, pasará casi 1 hora aquí.
El cañón de Ihlara está a 52 km. lejos de la ciudad subterránea. Aproximadamente 45 minutos más tarde, estará en la entrada del valle de Ihlara. SELIME MONASTRY Nuestro recorrido continuará con otro lugar parecido a un set de películas, el Monasterio de Selime. A primera vista, el monasterio parece un castillo, pero refugios, iglesias, capillas, dormitorios, almacenes y grandes catedrales nos demuestran que es un monasterio. Se obtiene información sobre la vida monástica en Capadocia.
VALLE DE PIGEON La escalada al monasterio de Selime te agotará, probablemente. Pero hasta que llegues a Pigeon Valley, tendrás aproximadamente 1 hora para descansar. Además, nuestro guía mencionará algunas tradiciones, culturas e historias sobre Anatolia en el camino. Al llegar a Pigeon Valley, las palomas se encontrarán con usted en la cima del valle. Las palomas siempre han sido importantes para los capadocios. Sus huevos y excrementos fueron utilizados para diferentes propósitos. We booked a tour that specifically stated Derinkuyu, the Ihlara Valley including lunch by the river and an air conditioned van. What we got was a trip to Kaymakli underground city in a not very air conditioned van, a brisk walk through Ihlara valley (with a guide who smoked and talked on the phone most of the time whose English was marginal), lunch under a pavilion miles from the river. In the fine print it said we would see an onyx making demonstration, instead we saw a jewelry demonstration at a jewelry store. The good: Kaymakli was nice, lunch was good, and the Ihlara valley was beautiful. We did stop at a location where the guide gave us a little bit of history and then we were allowed to explore. That was probably the highlight of the trip where we got to look in the caves. At the end of a long day the van made another stop at another store where we were pressured to buy souvenirs.
Our guide was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. If you are planning to do an underground tour, make sure your knees and back can handle all the steps and narrow passages. Even though it was extremely difficult underground, it was still worth every pain and ache. The lunch was very nice and all the other stops during the tour was wonderful. However, we did not like it when we made 2 stops (jewelry shop and Turkish delight shop). We felt pressured to make purchases as the employees in these shops followed us the whole time and tried to sell something to us. To stop at shops is not what we signed up for.
Beautiful experience I would like to revisit this place once more. We had a great time with my family and will come back in the near future

Our tour guide Oyzon was very informative and took us through every little detail about this hidden gem which I recommend every one to see.I would not recommend for people with low vision, physical impairments as you have to bend over to crawl through the dark tunnels.
