Hello again. For the record, please remember you booked with another company that asked Cape Kayak to add you to our trip. Our trip departed 15 minutes earlier, which unfortunately you were not told. Our company policy is clear in that clients cannot miss the safety briefing. When a booked customer does not arrive in time for the briefing, we call and check to see if the customer is en route, but since you had not booked or paid us we had no details and proceeded without you, so as not to delay the entire group. Terribly sorry for the inconvenience caused to you both, I know how disappointing it is to miss out on an adventure due to being late, which was not your fault. My bad for allowing a non-booked customer to join on such short notice.
Absolutely wonderful session with great welcome, clear and friendly preparation and support, and the best trip possible on a calm and beautiful evening with dive-fishing birds, a stray penguin from Robben Island, and LOADS of seals and dolphins fishing and playing all around us. (I never realised seals do complicated water gymnastics for fun, too!) So even if there had been none of these, it would have been a beautiful trip along the coast in lovely conditions. But with all the animals it was a complete delight and utterly memorable. My photography was disappointing but Trace's album of photos which arrived really promptly afterwards more than made up for this. I can't recommend this adventure highly enough, and you don't have to be experienced at paddling at all, I've only done it a handful of times over the years and I found that the 2 hour trip s just the right length to feel immersed in being out in the sea without becoming over-tired. Highly recommended!
What a great experience. Calm waters, spectacular views of the mountains with a beautiful sunset over the sea, seals playing in the water, a whale blowing in the distance and a flash of dolphins. Our guide was exceptional and took very good care of us. Knowledgeable and friendly. The shop facilities were clean and hygienic. The delivery of pictures were instant. Strongly recommended. Will definitely back soon!

What an experience! We were fortunate to have a perfect evening with the sea being almost flat with only light swells at times. But we saw so many whales! At times we didn’t know which direction to look, They were all around us. It was an experience of a lifetime and one I would highly recommend. Trace was so friendly and explained everything so well. We had the most amazing kayak trip last night. No wind and a beautiful sunset over the Atlantic Seaboard and Twelve Apostels mountain range. I have lived in Cape Town all my life and have never seen the city from this angle with Table Mountain looking as if it is peeking over the shoulder of Lion’s Head as you row up in the direction of Camps Bay. We saw sun fish, whales in the distance, wonderful purple and pink jelly fish and seals. The guides were great, creating a very relaxed atmosphere with a lot of freedom. It was magical to be gliding through the still water, hearing the sound of the breaking waves against the nearby shore and experiencing Cape Town in a totally different way. Thank you so much to everyone at Kaskazi Kayaks. We will definitely join you it again soon!
