Al llegar a Ta Phin, admirará el hermoso paisaje natural, los campos en terrazas, los jardines de orquídeas en flor y verdes. Ta Phin es un pequeño pueblo, habitado por personas de Red Dao y Hmong. La cueva de Ta Phin se encuentra en el pueblo de Ta Phin, distrito de Sapa. La cueva tiene una altura de 5 my un ancho de 3 m. Comenzando el viaje para explorar la cueva, tendrás que caminar unos 30 metros en la oscuridad, llena de baches y luego encontrarás una cueva grande. El antiguo Monasterio Ta Phin, ubicado al pie de la montaña, fue construido en 1942. Solía ser un lugar de práctica para 12 monjas ascéticas de la Congregación de las Hermanas de la Iglesia Católica de Conversión Cristiana. En 1945, la delegación abandonó Hanoi y el monasterio fue abandonado hasta nuestros días. En general, el monasterio consiste en una casa de cinco habitaciones con la dirección principal hacia el oeste, tres pisos de altura, que es el alojamiento y las actividades de las monjas. Todo ahora no hay techo, dejando solo las paredes de piedra cubiertas de musgo a lo largo de los años, y a veces entre esas piedras frías y grises, de repente hay un brote brotante, lo que hace que la gente deba abrir los ojos con sorpresa.

Most epic hike ever! 5 Stars for May, who is a brilliant guide! Will never forget the day! Happy that she showed us and told us about her culture. It is a quite challenging hike, but you have always a helping hand. There are also some black hmong women, who want to sell stuff, but I think it is ok to support the local industry. The herbal bath is perfect for the end of the tour. Highly recommended!

Booking was confirmed but on the day no guide showed up and still no communication from the operator, very disappointing.
Trekking through the mountains was an amazing experience. Seeing rice fields, bamboo Forrest’s and cornfields close up was wonderful and the views all day were spectacular. May, our guide was very knowledgeable about local traditions and was very knowledgeable about local plants and their uses in cooking, medicine and clothing. The trek was challenging as we went on a very hot day but May provided easier options and rests along the way. The bath at the end was very appreciative. A great way to see and understand the area.

We were met by Chacha at our hotel lobby. From there we headed north, through villages, rice paddies, corn and bamboo fields. Had a substantial and very yum lunch then trekked a small distance further to the Red Dao herbal baths. Chacha was an amazing guide, telling us about her family, the local villages and farming life in the region. All up, we trekked about 12km. Chacha was very accommodating, asking if we preferred the easy or harder paths. We had a great day and we definitely recommend this trek. Don’t forget to bring your sunscreen and hats!!!

Very good experience. The trek with May, from the Red Dao community, was great. We walked the rice fields to the village of Ta phin off the beaten track, we met very few tourists. May always asks us whether we prefer to take a difficult path or not, and she adapts to our pace. She also answers all our questions about the region and its community. At the end, you can take a herbal bath typical of the Red Dao community, pure happiness...You can book without hesitation.
