¡Entra en King’s College! Establecido por el rey Enrique VI, con sucesivas adiciones del rey más ambiciosas (de ahí el nombre). La capilla tiene el techo abovedado más grande del mundo e incluso un Rubens, una vez que la pintura más cara jamás comprada. Es fácil ver por qué numerosos reyes y reinas han visitado, y por qué su visita no puede estar completa sin entrar! Este tour le presentará el papel crucial de Cambridge en la historia mundial y resaltará las maravillas arquitectónicas de la ciudad, con nuestros guías universitarios. Además, el tour entrará en el King’s College! Los sitios cubiertos incluyen la iglesia más antigua de Cambridge (1033), el Colegio más antiguo (1284) y el laboratorio famoso por el descubrimiento de ADN. Junto con lugares emblemáticos de Cambridge como el Puente Matemático y la casa del Senado donde se ha celebrado la graduación durante los últimos 300 años. Sin duda, lo más destacado de su recorrido será ingresar a la impresionante Capilla de King's College. La primera piedra fue colocada por el propio rey Enrique VI y sucesivos reyes ingleses que proporcionaron adiciones cada vez más ambiciosas (¡de ahí el nombre!). La capilla alberga el techo abovedado con abanico más grande del mundo, está adornada con majestuosas vidrieras e incluso hay una pintura de Rubens (una vez la pintura más cara jamás comprada).
Peterhouse fue el primer colegio de la universidad, financiado en 1284. El grupo se detendrá afuera, donde podrá admirar la espléndida College Chapel y aprender más sobre estudiantes famosos como el poeta Thomas Gray.
El recorrido se detendrá en las afueras de Pembroke College, la tercera universidad más antigua de Cambridge, donde nuestro experto guía estudiantil le contará sobre su historia, incluidos detalles sobre la capilla de la universidad, que fue diseñada por Sir Christopher Wren. Si bien la entrada es gratuita, el Colegio no admite grupos mayores de 6, por lo tanto, le sugerimos que regrese aquí después del recorrido con toda la información histórica en mente.

El Puente Matemático es uno de los puentes más reconocidos en Cambridge y tiene una historia de origen bastante extraña. Nuestro guía estudiantil le contará la leyenda popular, luego aclarará cuáles fueron los orígenes reales del puente.
El grupo se detendrá en la entrada de Clare College en 'Backs', el nombre local del camino que lleva detrás de los colegios centrales, donde aprenderá sobre su historia. Además, en esta parada, nuestro guía destacará la Biblioteca de la Universidad al otro lado de la carretera.
Este puente ofrece una hermosa vista del río Cam. A la derecha verá el puente de Clare College, el puente más antiguo de Cambridge. Directamente está la impresionante Jerwood Library of Trinity Hall, ¡diseñada para parecerse a un barco! ¡Es una parada obligada para tomar fotos!
Fuera de la Cámara del Senado, nuestro guía estudiantil le contará todos los detalles peculiares de la ceremonia de graduación en Cambridge, que se celebró en la Cámara del Senado durante los últimos 300 años.
El famoso vecino y rival del Trinity College. Aquí aprenderá sobre su reputación y sobre el privilegio especial que los miembros del Colegio comparten con la Familia Real.
El recorrido finalizará en el Trinity College, donde aprenderá más sobre antiguos alumnos famosos como Sir Isaac Newton y el Príncipe Carlos. Verá 'el manzano' y escuchará la historia increíblemente cómica detrás de la estatua de Enrique VIII sobre la puerta.

Fantastic, informative and fun tour led by Mark. He was great with historical facts and visual prompts. Mark rembered everyone's name and country of origin (8 of us). We throughly enjoyed the whole and extended tour.....thank you
The meeting point was extremely busy with several other tours being in the same vicinity. Thanks to a phone call we realised we were only 10M from Rachel our tour guide with this tour, thanks for the call, was very good service. Rachel was excellent, very informative, great sense of humour & personable. The other tours had large groups of people but we were a small group of 6 which made for great conversation & sharing information. The many questions that were asked, Rachel provided lots of detail & great history of Cambridge. It was a really good tour. The Kings college chapel is a must visit at the end of tour if you haven't been before. We wish Rachel all the best in your studies to becoming a vet.

The experience started with a morning message on my WhatsApp from the Guide Mark Shere welcoming me to the upcoming tour and explaining how to spot him when I reach the location. When I got there, Mark welcomed me warmly and introduced me to the other family of 3 we were going to go on the tour with. This instantly made me feel comfortable. Mark is a people’s person, and has the personality of an entertainer who uses humour to add to his vast repertoire of knowledge of world history (not surprising given his degree in History from Cambridge). Mark then proceeded to take us on a tour full of information and interesting tidbits about Cambridge. From the King’s College chapel, the Rose Wars and the various British kings and their relationship with Cambridge University - he made every aspect of the tour come alive. He made the tour relevant for all 4 of us on tour which included a young 18 year old, her parents from Germany and me an Indian with an emotional connect to Cambridge (since I got admission here but could not attend due to financial issues). Mark took us to see the College I wishes to see and I am very thankful for that. How the 2.5 hours passed, I never realised and in the end I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the tour. If I go there again, I would happily do the tour again with Mark! Highly recommended for everyone visiting Cambridge. Look for Mark and book a tour with him!

Our guide Theo, himself a history graduate from Cambridge was first class. He had a lovely engaging manner, was very polite, engaging and extremely knowledgeable. His commentary throughout the 2 hour walk was extremely well structured, flowed seamlessly and was incredibly informative. We saw and learnt things in those 2 hours that we never could have walking by ourselves or with a guidebook. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Theo and this tour!
Mark walked us through Cambridge on a scorching hot day during the heat wave. This didn't stop him from giving us as many details as possible on the UK school system, Cambridge history and walk us to the highlights; all with that iconic dry Bristish humour! It was a joy and we learned so much! I recommend Mark to anyone who loves to be intellectually challenged like Mark would put it! It was a great day trip thanks to him!
