REEF EXPLORER es un estado de la técnica, 60 pies Super Balsa, que llega al cráter Molokini en menos de 30 minutos. We had a wonderful experience snorkeling and seeing turtles and so many different kinds of fish. The crater was amazing, and our guides took such good care of us! Highly recommend!
Great knowledgeable crew. They stopped a few places and found the clearest water for watching/finding turtles. Molokini is amazing, a must. This boat is not a huge catamaran that seats 75 people. It holds maybe 30 which means you’re not dumped off in the water with a hoard of people. Great experience
Dani and Esteban made the trip enjoyable and adventurous! We were able to see over 10 turtles and enjoyed three beautiful locations.
Our second year in a row going on an adventure with Maui Reef. As always , Captain Esteban and his crew provided great care of our family . I always appreciate how they try to make our young children as comfortable as possible . Hope to see the crew again sometime ! PS: better rates if you book with them directly
Overall, an average experience with some clear positives but also some disappointing aspects. The boat is probably one of the smallest operating out of the harbor. While that can make for a more intimate experience, it also feels quite crowded once everyone is onboard, and the ride can be fairly bumpy. Because this boat leaves later than many of the larger operators and generally stays close to the shoreline, the trip to Molokini takes longer. By the time we arrived, the wind had picked up enough that we couldn’t snorkel inside the crater and were instead taken to the back side. While the back wall is great for scuba diving, it isn’t nearly as enjoyable for snorkeling, so we missed out on the classic Molokini experience. The highlight of the trip was Turtle Town. The crew did an excellent job spotting turtles and directing everyone toward them, and we had an amazing time in the water there. Unfortunately, the food and drinks were a letdown. The drinks were only lukewarm, and the lunch was disappointing—stale bread with bland, tasteless turkey. The crew was friendly and helpful, especially at Turtle Town, but between the slower itinerary, missing the main Molokini snorkeling site, and the poor food, the overall experience ended up being average rather than memorable.
We have been snorkeling many times over the last 12 years. This was by far the best experience. Fantastic crew, small boat, multiple locations, and we had an absolute blast.
It was a beautiful day and super fun experience. We had an awesome crew with Captain Este. On the way to the turtles, we ran into a pod of approximately 20 dolphins which was a pleasant surprise… Right off the boat! The turtle snorkel was beautiful, but we didn’t see many while we were snorkeling. We actually saw more from the boat then when we were in the water. Going over to the crater to snorkel was stunning. It was the clearest water we have ever snorkeled in. Plus they gave you lunch, which was a lovely added bonus. Highly recommend for families. Make sure you are a strong swimmer!
We had the best crew with captain Este and his team. We saw a ton of turtles both from the boat and while snorkeling. We were also lucky enough to come up on a pod of 20 dolphins which was epic! The crater snorkeling was the icing on the cake. Clearest water we have ever seen.
This was a near perfect excursion. Both stops were fantastic. The sandwiches provided were a nice surprise. We did hit a few whitecaps on the way back. The captain tried minimizing them. Other than that it was an awesome trip.
Awesome experience! we got to see lots of sea turtle, we got snacks and drinks. Equipment was clean, not a big group of people which is nice, we recommend!
