We had a great day in Bulgaria with our engaging guide Claudiu. Totally worth the drive back and forth from Bucharest to see fascinating stone architecture, picturesque waterfalls and several really cool caves. Claudiu was accommodating and informative and let us go at our own pace. Highly recommend!
Victor was one of if not the best guides I have ever encountered. He made the trip outstanding and no one could achieve the level which she performed in making our day one of the best.
We were in Romania for a 10 day vacation and have booked a lot of tours throughout the country and had some extra available time so we decided to book this trip to add some Diversity to our time in the region . It was absolutely beautiful ! The hike to the stone churches (a Unesco world heritage site ) was amazing !!!! Unlike anything I’ve ever seen before ! After that we headed to a nature park to see some waterfalls and even entered a small cave behind a waterfall and got cooled off by walking through the Fallon water ! The last stop in my opinion might be the most impressive. A large cave system with huge holes opening up to the sky in the ceilings . We found out that at this place that scenes from the movie The Expendables were filmed there . Absolutely stunning ! Amidst all this we stopped and had a nice lunch and a few cold beers . The prices in Bulgaria are very cheap so lunch was very inexpensive and the food was great . Looking for something off the beaten path in Romania ? Definitely give this one a shot ! Our tour guide Sebastian was great , very informative and his English is clear and perfectly understandable and the van was comfortable and relaxing .
This is a nice tour if you;like outdoor scenery. The waterfall was beautiful and the caves were very nice. To be fair they are not ‘epic’ but very beautiful. You get to see some of the Bulgaria country side which is nice. Our tour guide Roxana was fantastic. Great personality and worked hard to add information about both Romania and Bulgaria to the tour and experience I definitely recommend this tour. .
Great day trip into Bulgaria! At this time of year, the waterfalls were fully flowing (not just a trickle of water). The hike is easy and ample opportunities to take pictures! The caves were the highlight for me! If you are a history buff you’ll love the vastness of the caves and that there are still foundations of the fuel storage tanks from when it was used as a storage depot! Octavian was a fantastic driver and guide. He is willing to engage in conversation if desired but also aware enough to disengage and let you lean back and catch a nap on the trip if that is what you want too! He’s a great source of historical information!
Octavian was our host and we enjoyed spending the day learning from him. He is very experienced and caring (he bought lots of bread for the dogs/cats and was always ensuring our safety). I would highly recommend this tour to anyone that is not afraid to open their boundaries to explore and learn.
Excellent experience with great tour guides, it was a good day out. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in learning about history of Bulgaria.
The tour guide Octavian is knowledgeable and friendly. He is patient to take photos for us and makes us feel comfortable and enjoyable for the trip.
My friend any I had a wonderful day on our trip with our guide Octavian. The Orlova Chuka cave was amazing, it felt like being on the moon! The Krushuna waterfalls were beautiful and the Devatashka cave at the end was the icing on the cake. The best part of our day though was spending it with our amazing guide, Octavian! He was very knowledgeable about the area, had a GREAT sense of humor, and he took the best pictures of us. When I come back to visit again I am definitely going to request that Octavian be our guide again. Thank you!
I was fortunate to had the luxury to ride with Leo to see nature above ground and below in what would be a great yearly concert venue while learning about history and enjoying a local beer and picking up some magnets from adventure and another stamp in passport book 😀
