The water buffalo, basket boat ride, and cooking class were such great experiences. The food we made was so good!
We started our morning in a local market and Lilly our tour guide was great at explaining the items we would need for the cooking class later. The buffalo ride was short, but fun. I wish we had someone to translate or explain what was going on during the basket boat ride. It was just us and the woman rowing. They could have taken us down the river a little more.Cooking class was a lot of fun and we got to eat a great meal afterwards. All in all a good way to spend our morning
The Buffalo ride is weary popular so you don't get to ride it for to long but it was still so cool to try. The basket boat was great. We fished after smal crabs and got like a cool gift(mantis) made from grass and leafs and the driver sang gangdamstile🤣🤣. The finel activity was a cooking class that was amazing, the chef joked around and was so helpful and friendly. Me and my friends talked about not doing this activity but wee all hadd a great time and we did not regret it. Overall a great activity i would recommend😁
This is a must in Hoi an! So much fun. And the food you make is delicious. Lilly was so lovely and welcoming
This one of our highlights in Vietnam. The tour of the market was educational and eye opening. The colours were magnificent. The buffalo ride was spectacular. Our buffalo was such a gentle animal and the guide made the ride so enjoyable. The basket boat was great fun and we managed to catch some crabs. But the highlight was the cooking class and feasting on our creations. We highly recommend this S an experience that could be enjoyed by anyone. Just wonderful
The buffalo ride could be longer or more interactive - it only took a few minutes. But that's enough. You could try catching crabs on the water, but we don't eat crabs, so we felt sorry for them. We just wanted to ride on the water. The cooking lesson was great, I recommend it for groups of 4 friends.
This was such a fun tour and our guide Lily was great! The market tour and buffalo ride was interesting and the basket boat was amazing , the Vietnamese ladies rowing showed incredible skill. The highlight for me was the cookery class at Lily’s husbands school. We made 3 dishes which were delicious! Highly recommend this tour.
Long Phu family works for the whole trip, travel guide, chef taught me cooking class, riding the boat, and they live in where we visit, very familiar in that area. Came for buffalo riding, and its true that buffalo is big, quite hard to balance, Long and the local farmer helped a lot to make sure of the safety. Basket boat also cool, the local who rode the boat himself enjoyed much and they met other boats of friends and had a little fun talk, also got us spinning around with the boat. Local was singing karaoke in the centre for some songs to ask for tips. Cooking class was about 4 dishes, mostly chop chop chop, not that interesting than a cooking school specifically focused on cooking in other South east countries. The tourists didnt sign up for cooking, so I came earlier to cook. Then had lunch together and back. Actually buffalo + river tour +or cooking class, not that many activities, healing in someway. But guy on the big ship shouted that no photos of his boat or something, the boat riding local translated for me.But there was no sign, the shout made me confusing. 1USD tip asked for the boat riding local or usually 20000VND for the Karaoke singing guy.
Itinerary here does not match what we did. No visit to market. Pickup was a motorbike that you had to ride on the back. I refused and they ordered me a car. Buffalo ride was cool. Basket ride through water coconut grove was enjoyable until Gangnam Style and other K-Pop started being blasted from every direction for most of the basket ride and during the cooking class. Not really an eco-tour. Cooking class had great food but there are other classes which are similar or better. I would not recommend this trip for those who want a relaxing peaceful outing. But if you like K-pop and Korean tourists yelling and singing, then this trip is for you.
It was my birthday and there wasn't a better way to celebrate it! From the buffalo ride, to the basket boat ride, cooking class (which was so amazinggg and filling), and making my birthday so special. They sang me happy birthday and really made an effort to celebrate my day. The basket boat ride was so much fun and they played some music and dancing in the middle of the river! PLEASE BOOK THIS, it's so worth every penny (and affordable)
