Nuestro primer destino es la ciudad turística de Sinaia, donde se encuentra el castillo de Peles. Para llegar allí, debemos atravesar el valle de Prahova, dejando atrás los elegantes centros turísticos de montaña Predeal, Azuga y Busteni, que continuamente atraen a un gran número de turistas rumanos y extranjeros, en la carretera que cruza el vertiginoso río Prahova. Una belleza natural impresionante se abre frente a sus ojos, pero la vista más espectacular es desde Busteni, donde se pueden admirar los picos más altos de las montañas Bucegi: Caraiman Peak, Costila Peak y Omu Peak. Llegue a Sinaia, una vez un exclusivo complejo aristocrático, donde visitaremos el castillo de Peles, la residencia de verano de la antigua familia real rumana. El castillo de Peles es uno de los museos más bellos de Rumania y fue construido en casi 40 años por el rey Carlos 1.

Llegada a Sinaia, otrora un exclusivo complejo aristocrático, donde visitaremos el castillo de Peles, la residencia de verano de la antigua familia real rumana. El castillo de Peles es uno de los museos más bellos de Rumanía y fue construido en casi 40 años por el rey Carlos 1.
De camino al Castillo de Bran, se encuentra uno de los monasterios más antiguos del país, el Monasterio de Sinaia. Con una historia que se remonta a 300 años, marcada por una relación especial con la familia real, este venerable monasterio es una atracción obligada gracias a sus dos iglesias construidas con 150 años de diferencia.
Continuamos nuestro viaje al famoso Castillo de Bran. Para llegar allí debemos atravesar el Valle de Prahova, dejando atrás elegantes complejos de montaña Predeal, Azuga y Busteni que atraen continuamente a un alto número de turistas rumanos y extranjeros, en la carretera que cruza el tortuoso río Prahova. La impresionante belleza natural se abre frente a sus ojos, pero la vista más espectacular es desde Busteni, donde se pueden admirar los picos más altos de las montañas Bucegi: Pico Caraiman, Pico Costila y Pico Omu. También llamado Castillo de Drácula, está situado a la entrada del paso Bran-Rucar. Un arquitecto notable, el monumento fue construido entre 1377-1382 sobre una roca de 60 m. Después de la visita al castillo de Bran, diríjase a un restaurante local para almorzar ensaladas frescas, sopas tradicionales, delicioso sarmale, carne, pollo, verduras y otras tarifas regionales (bebidas y comidas a su cargo). El almuerzo tradicional se puede organizar en el pueblo de Bran.
Visita la Fortaleza de Rasnov, que fue construida en el siglo XIII, ¡podría ser la más encantadora de todas! La fortaleza es la más grande de Transilvania y una de las mejor conservadas de Rumanía. Hermosa panorámica sobre la Tierra de Barsa desde lo alto de la fortaleza.

Alina was such a fantastic guide for us. She really knew her stuff and was totally engaging telling us all about the history of the places we went to plus about her own experiences of growing up in Romania during pivotal times in the country's recent history. We got held up in traffic for a large part of the day but she made sure we still saw and enjoyed all parts of the tour. Would highly recommend. There may be some tickets that you require on top of the tour booking so do check this as soon as you are able as they may sell out during peak times of the year.

Excellent day with an excellent guide. Marius was very informative and accommodating. We learned so much from the day and had excellent food too thanks to Marius. Would highly recommend this activity. Visiting these places would not be the same experience without the local guides to give the history. We also received history and information on local buildings and areas on route to these castles/fortress.

Bogdon was a great guide — he’s very informative and has a good sense of humor. He also was flexible and gave good suggestions when it came to having some free time to ourselves and avoiding crowded times at the tourist sites. We were fortunate to have him as our guide and that we ended up being the only two people in what would’ve otherwise been a small group, so it felt like a private tour. Râşnov Fortress is still undergoing renovations at the time, so we were not able to explore the inside.

I highly recommend this tour. Not only do you see several castles and a monastery but you do it with a guide who knows the best parking areas, has an excellent understanding of the history of the area and speaks English extremely well.
