Very poor trip. Tour says your get information about the mangroves and wild birds and animals. Plus you get to feed the monkeys. But none of this happened. No fruit on the boat to feed the monkeys. And no guided tour. No one could speak English. The river is full of plastic left by tourists and none of the Thais seem to clean it up or care about the littering. Also, the pick up and drop off was not great either. Up and down same road three times back and forth for an hour. No planned route. Would not recommend this at all.
Dear Guest, First of all, we sincerely apologize that your experience did not meet your expectations. Typically, a mangrove boat tour allows guests to observe nature such as mudskippers, monkeys, and the mangrove ecosystem, including birds and other wildlife. However, sightings of animals depend on several factors such as the tide, timing, and natural behavior of wildlife in the area. Regarding the monkey feeding, English communication, and the pick-up and drop-off service, we truly appreciate your feedback and will take it seriously to improve our services in the future. We regret that this trip was not suitable for you, and we sincerely thank you for your valuable comments. Kind regards, Sak
Very nice and relaxing trip, many monkeys and other animals. Special thanks to our guide who found and saved my phone from the water 🙏🏼👍
Very nice activity, long tail boat to start through the mangrove, small stop on a very small island with swimming then kayaking around islands and visited a cave. A lot of macaques on the beach and on the boat back a female got on the boat and everyone was able to feed her. Bottle of water and bananas on the boat. Guides take the time, there are very few people, it is not a tourist factory.
With my daughter we had a longtail boat just for us, it was great. I would do the excursion again without hesitation
It was so much fun . Our guides made it a fun experience and we learned a lot .feeding monkeys and kayaking were so cool
We had the most quiet boating experience. The place looked deserted barring another boat like ours in the entire mangrove. Marshy lands and boating, had a relaxing time. We took pictures of monkeys and sailing in the narrow streams. Only we were hoping to watch more animals and birds . Due to the rains we couldn’t enjoy a morning boating and missed out on it.
Our guide was very knoelegeable about the mangrove flora and fauna and told us about it. He was entertaining and funny. We went in small canals with the kayaks and visited a monkey family.
We were traveling by boat. Apart from the monkeys waiting for the boats in one place, we haven't seen much further. As an excursion with children fine.
Did what it promised. The guide's English skills have been replaced with extreme friendliness. Despite the language barrier helpful hints about the local flora. We felt safe and loved the experience around the mangrove forest, the monkeys, kayaking. Keep what it promises! Definitely recommended for anyone who wants to explore the mangrove forests on Koh Lanta. The only real shortcoming: some of the services originally promised, such as waterproof bags for valuables provided, had to be purchased locally.
A no go for me was the feeding of monkeys by the tour guide! Otherwise, the mangroves themselves are of course absolutely worth seeing and we saw mudsliders and a Varan. Our time on the kayak was about 1.5 h, but unfortunately we were only on the big arm and one side arm and had to hurry quite fast. Afterwards we went to a small restaurant where fruit and water were served and fish were fed. Unsatisfactory was that neither life jackets nor dry bags were included in the tour and the guide did not know what we wanted. The kayaks themselves are unfortunately dirty due to the oily water, you should wear dark clothes to not mess up anything.
