This is an interactive re-enactment of events leading up to and following the Boston Tea Party. It includes live and video actors and moves through the various parts of the museum to facilitate the story. I did not get that from the description of the event when I registered and was expecting something completely different. Having said that, the live actors stayed in character throughout- even when I asked questions. The video presentations were excellent visual and sound quality. They did a good job expressing the tensions surrounding the historic event while making it fun and keeping the younger audience engaged. The display of the only known remaining tea chest along with its full history was excellent. The prohibition on photography was a disappointment.
Really fun tour - our tour guide was spectacular!! William Pierce was funny, engaging, informative and charismatic! I’d take the tour again if William is my tour guide!
It was informative and entertaining. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff who were in character sprinkled some humor in their presentation making it a great experience.
Read the “What was the Boston Tea Party?” book with your kids if you have time beforehand - this was a fun experience & added to our trip to Boston - seeing the original box of tea was a highlight also
Despite the soaring heat, this was a fabulous experience! Well done, interactive, & educational. Highly recommend for ALL ages
Learn a little history in a fun way! The guides are extremely knowledgeable and stay in character. Fun for whole family.
This was a fun interactive experience. Everyone in our group was able to participate. It also was very informative.
By far the best experience in Boston. We have been twice and it’s just fantastic. The actors draw you in to the events and emotions that led to the Boston Tea Party and then the shot heard round the world.
A fun, interactive, educational experience for the whole family. We all enjoyed going back in time with the engaging guides. Here are a few notes from my children: I really like how how the staff acted it out. They were great. I also liked that you could learn a lot about the American Revolution and have a lot of fun along the way. Also, I liked how we could be part of it, stomping, hissing, booing... and the fact that we all got a new identity. The kids got to throw tea, that is why I liked it.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We're glad to hear that you had a great experience and enjoyed the information provided. We hope you'll visit us again in one of our other destinations!
This experience was very enjoyable, interactive and informative. The booking & check-in process was simple and a breeze. The tour's focus is the Teav Party, but it also covers other aspects of the beginning of the Revolutionary War. Of course the actors and museum staff make the tour more than worth it though.
