Great irreverent guide, Tony! Everyone knew him. He kept us on time and on track. He had stories galore! The food was amazing and lots of it.
There is a lot of standing. Most eating is done outside-standing. Anthony has a lot of energy and tells great stories about the neighborhood along the way.
Food was great! Most of the eating was done while standing, which people may want to be made aware. Tour guide Anthony was fun!
We have taken many food tours over the years - this one was unique (in a good way). Anthony (Flash) definitely provided local insight you won’t get anywhere else. The variation of food was spot on and each stop added something different to the tour. Come hungry and ready to learn all about the North End!
This was a great tour. Our guide was incredibly informative and pretty amusing. I will stress that this is a politically incorrect tour. So pay attention to the description. If you are easily offended by language you should probably choose something else. But I thought it was great. The food was good. Completely different from a previous food tour we went on in the North End a few year’s earlier.
Anthony was who made this experience. We loved all the food we had the stories, the humor and the fun time!
I could have listened to Anthony all day. He had such interesting stories to tell about Boston's North End and brought history to life for me. The name of the tour is "Boston's Politically Incorrect North End Food Tour," but other than a bit of salty language here and there I saw nothing politically incorrect about this tour. I would recommend this tour for anyone who wants to learn more about the Italian immigrant experience and culture of the North End. And as an added bonus, the food was fantastic!
Pace yourself! There's quite a bit of food compared to some other food tours that I've been on. Be prepared for some coarse language. He starts out pretty rough, but after you're on the tour with him for a while he seems to forget and doesn't keep it up incessantly. If you are a bit of a snowflake about such things try a different tour.
Anthony was a great tour guide and very entertaining. He made us all laugh. The food was delicious, especially the ravioli, and by the end we were full.
Anthony is genuine and true to himself. He brought us back in time before everyone had to be „politically correct“. A taste of Boston North End when it was Italian at its best. My niece and I loved the entire experience. I recommend it to anyone that doesn’t mind a bit of colorful language, however it is the best way to become part of the neighborhood. It was fun and informative.
