La tradición del teatro de marionetas de agua se remonta a una época en que los campos de arroz se inundaban y los aldeanos se entretenían de pie en el agua hasta la cintura con las marionetas actuando sobre el agua. Usando barras grandes para sostener las marionetas, parecía como si se estuvieran moviendo a través del agua con los titiriteros escondidos detrás de una pantalla. Esta tradición es exclusiva de Vietnam del Norte, pero recientemente ha encontrado fama en escenarios de todo el mundo; por lo que es un placer ver a los títeres actuar en su ubicación original en el Teatro de Marionetas de Agua del Dragón. Las actuaciones van acompañadas de una orquesta vietnamita que toca música tradicional con tambores, campanas de madera, cuernos, flautas de bambú y címbalos. Great communication from the trip operator and the lady who dropped off the tickets for us . Unfortunately we were in the second row from the back of the theatre (of at least 20 rows) which made viewing difficult . I would check where the seats are before booking as we were disappointed. Having said that the production was excellent .

This is a great show especially if you're a history buff . Very traditional and great place for a Date or even with a family. The neighborhood is lively
