The guide Christine was very sweet and good, we had a great time. We saw so many tarsi, and the chocolate hills are also very beautiful. Unfortunately lunch on the boat is charged separately and is very expensive. I would have preferred to pay a little more for the tour and have included it. Anyway, highly recommended tour!
The tour overall was well organized and the guide was professional and friendly. Key highlights like Chocolate Hills and the Loboc River were enjoyable and ran smoothly. However, one stop included in the itinerary “Bohol Lemur and Butterfly” raised serious animal welfare concerns. During the visit (02 Apr 2026, ~16:15), I observed crocodiles largely immobile in poor enclosures, large snakes in spaces that appeared inadequate, multiple caged birds that seemed lethargic, juvenile lemurs on display, and a bear in a very small cage. The overall conditions suggested poor welfare (space, cleanliness, and lack of enrichment). I have reported this to the Bureau of Animal Industry. I am not criticizing the entire tour, but I strongly recommend that this stop be removed or replaced. The rest of the experience was good, but this part significantly impacted it.
Thank you for your detailed feedback and for sharing your concerns with us. We’re glad to hear you found the tour well organized and enjoyed highlights like the Chocolate Hills and Loboc River. We sincerely apologize for the experience at the “Bohol Lemur and Butterfly” stop. We take animal welfare very seriously, and your feedback is deeply appreciated. Please know that effective immediately, we will be removing this stop from our itinerary. We are committed to providing experiences that are both enjoyable and responsible. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention, and we hope to welcome you again for a better experience.
Jeff did a great job with our tour. We were all from different countries and he didn't miss a beat. For older travelers such as myself it was a long day.
Was picked up at the hotel, even though it wasn't on the list. Guide who explained very well the places we stopped at. Great experience
This was a great day trip to see some of the highlights of Bohol, and really convenient for me as a solo traveler. Our driver and guide Jeff were lovely, and made the trip very easy. It can be challenging sometimes to schedule outings when traveling solo, so it was really nice to be able to join with other people for a small private group trip. The Chocolate Hills and the Tarsier sanctuary are must see stops, but I really enjoyed the opportunity to zipline across the Loboc. The views are great and the process is very easy. Thanks for a great day out!
Thank you for your lovely review! We’re happy you enjoyed seeing Bohol’s highlights and felt comfortable joining as a solo traveler. Jeff will be glad to hear your kind words. It’s great you loved the zipline and iconic stops too. We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you back for another fun day in Bohol
Our tour guide went far and beyond for us. We were always first on the site, skipping the line, for toilet or a boat. She had all the answers and always a big smile. Even though it rained, we enjoyed ourselves and we were treated as family. Thank you, we would do it again! 🙏
Thank you so much for this lovely review! We’re truly happy to hear you felt well taken care of and treated like family, even with the rain. Your kind words mean a lot to us, and we’d be honored to welcome you again anytime!
This was the worst organised tour I have experienced in any country. Below is a short breakdown of the main issues: 1. Vehicle size and safety: Half an hour before the start of the tour, we received a message informing us that the planned vehicle was no longer available and that we would be placed in a smaller car. The available vehicle was too small to comfortably accommodate 11 passengers. People were seated in the front and on folding seats, making the tour extremely uncomfortable. Several passengers hit their heads on the low roof when getting in and out of the vehicle. The operator’s explanation that a replacement vehicle could not be found sounds more like it was driven by economic considerations rather than passenger well-being, which should have been the primary concern! A refund should have been offered to guests who did not wish to proceed under these poor conditions - but there was no option given. 2. Potentially misleading information about the Loboc cruise: The booking description suggests that the cruise is included and that only the lunch is optional. In reality, neither the boat trip nor the lunch is included. When these additional costs are taken into account, the tour actually becomes more expensive than comparable offerings on Viator. 3. Unsolicited promotional contact: The operator used the phone number provided with this booking to promote additional offerings. These communications were entirely unwelcome. 4. Disengaged guide: While this may have been influenced by the circumstances of the day, the guide did little more than recite pre-prepared lines about where we were going next. There was virtually no information provided about Bohol or the Philippines. The guide appeared disengaged. I requested a 50 percent refund from the operator - not because I wanted the money, but to seek accountability for such a poorly managed offering. Unsurprisingly, my request was rejected.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate the opportunity to address and clarify the points raised. On the day of the tour, we encountered an unexpected mechanical issue with the originally assigned van. To avoid canceling the tour during peak season, we arranged an alternative vehicle and informed guests through a message before the tour started, so everyone was aware in advance. The tour operated as scheduled and ran smoothly throughout the day, with all planned stops completed. Regarding the Loboc River, this experience is a separate boat package that is paid on-site, which is standard practice. This is clearly stated in the tour details, and we also send a reminder message prior to the tour to ensure guests are fully informed. Concerning the guide, we would like to clarify that she is a well-trained, licensed guide with over 3 years of guiding experience. She is also a local from Bohol, giving her strong first-hand knowledge of the island’s culture, history, and attractions. She does not rely on prepared scripts, and we are confident in her professionalism and capability. However, we understand that guiding styles can vary, and we’re sorry if her approach did not meet personal expectations on that particular day. As for the refund request, while we respect the concern raised, the tour was fully operated and completed as planned, and all services included in the package were delivered. For this reason, we were unable to approve a partial refund in line with our policy. We genuinely value feedback like this, as it helps us improve communication and service quality for future guests.
An amazing experience with diverse and fascinating stops all throughout the day, accompanied with a fantastic guide.
We saw so much of Bohol in just a day because of our efficient and friendly tour guide and driver. We started early in the day and took a route that avoids most crowds. We saw the chocolate hills before lunch on a Saturday and it wasn’t crowded. Our guide took great photos of us and got all tickets needed for every attraction. We were picked up at our hotel and didn’t have to worry about anything for the rest of the day.
A great day out with Kaye as my guide. She was super friendly, lovely to chat with and provided me with lots of information about the places we visited. She is also a great photographer ! My tour was in a very comfortable, super well air conditioned car with a driver who was also very friendly. We stopped at 8 different places around the island and had a good amount of time at each one. A great way to spend a day and see all the sights. The tarsiers were a definite highlight for me! Highly recommended, thanks Kaye!
