The boat ride was good. The river cruise lunch was good as well. The guide was ok but talked too much about nonsensical things.
We had a personalised tour only two of us. Very friendly tour guide and driver. Also great local and history knowledge.
Our day started with a 530 am pick up at our hotel, to the port where we rode a 2 hour ferry to Tagbilaran City. As soon as we disembarked, Joanne was already waiting for us with our name so we really didn’t have to wait and look. It was a private tour with the driver Rommel. Joanne was a great tour guide and a photographer. They drove us back to the ferry to Cebu. The driver who picked us up in the morning was already waiting for us, to take us back to the hotel. I would recommend this for a family tour.
Bohol Island was a full day of checking things off the bucket list: Chocolate Hills: according to legend, they were formed from the tears of a giant mourning the loss of his true love. 👀 Tarsiers: the adorable mascot of Bohol. These tiny primates have giant eyes, look permanently surprised, and locals say they may have inspired Baby Yoda. Man-Made Forest: a beautiful stretch of mahogany trees that feels like driving through a real-life movie set. Loboc River Cruise: floating down one of the most beautiful rivers in the Philippines while enjoying local music, dancing, and incredible views. The lunch was serve at the boat. Speaking of dancing... I was invited to join a traditional Filipino dance. I tried my best, but judging by the number of toes I stepped on, I may have accidentally invented a new dance style. My sincere apologies to everyone involved. 😂 I also attempted to play a local string instrument. "Attempted" is doing a lot of work in that sentence. Tour Guide: Nel | Driver: Mel
Really knowledgeable guide and driver, we had our own small van with a group of 6 people and everyone was wonderful. Bohol is an amazing island easy to explore and that makes you feel very welcome. 10/10 recommend.
Recommend this tour, our tour guide, Joseph, he is very engaging, clear in explaining and passionate about his job. Lunch on the cruise was good. Thank you
Beautiful scenery of the mountain side of Bohol, totally worthy of seeing. The flow of the tour was very nice, not pushy but we got to see most important attractions planned.
My wife and I were really looking forward to this tour and booked it months in advance. The tour service was very friendly and gave us all of the information leading up to the day we were supposed to take the ferry over to Bohol. However, when we waited at the front entrance of our hotel for the driver, no one came to pick us up! This was obviously upsetting, and initially we had trouble reaching our contact to see what had happened. This made us worry that maybe we had been scammed! However, we found out several hours later that there had been a wifi outage and our contact could not receive our messages at that time. After working with TripAdvisor/Viator, we were able to get a refund. The operator was kind enough to offer for us to take the tour on a different day, but we had other plans. While everyone in the process was kind, it is a bummer we didn't get to go.
I was really looking forward to this. I was worried the day before when no details came through. In the morning before they said I wouldn't get pick up details or ferry ride info until the night before. I reached out again the night before when I received nothing just to be told they cancelled on me. They didn't even bother to tell me, I had to ask why I hadn't heard from them and it was within 12 hours of the trip that I found out so now I'm struggling to get my refund for it being less than 24 notice. Buyers beware
Thank you to our tour guide for being so knowledgeable about Bohol. She really entertained the group with her constant story telling about this fascinating province. The chocolate hills really made me appreciate the beauty of my beloved country, the Philippines.
