Bogotá, Colombia, is a rich, fascinating, and great city. There is much to see in a compact area! We started with a tram ride to the top of Monserrate (over 10,000 feet) and finished with museum tours in the center of the old town. My guide, GIGIO, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to show many cultural sites and connect them with Colombia's history, both past and present. The entire experience left me with the desire to revisit Bogota and vacation in South America. Well worth the cost, and it was stress-free. Well done Viator and GIGIO
I had an excellent 4-hour layover tour in Bogotá and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Andrea, my tour guide, was incredibly friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable about the city’s history, culture, and local life. She made great use of the limited time I had, ensuring the tour was well-paced, informative, and enjoyable from start to finish. It was the perfect way to experience Bogotá during a layover, and I felt well taken care of the entire time. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone with a layover who wants a meaningful introduction to Bogotá.
I had such a great time on my Layover Tour with Raul. He is interesting, knowledgeable, a great conversationalist, and speaks English fluently. He chose the perfect spot for a sit down coffee, and he was quick to pick up on the things that I found more interesting and emphasized those things more. A wealth of information and enjoyable company. Highly recommend!
Plane was delayed by 1hr and guide left airport. No refund was received and we wasted $95 per person getting through Columbia immigration. Never book with these clowns.
John, We are truly sorry for the frustration you experienced with your layover service and the one-star rating. We understand that flight delays are a stressful situation. We want to clarify that there was no bad faith on our part; we acted according to the pick-up agreement we previously established: We contacted you and, with your approval, adjusted the pick-up time to 15:00 to allow for the migration process. Our guide and driver were punctual at 15:00. Upon learning of your flight delay (which was not notified to us), we actively waited for you at the airport until 16:15 (over an hour), attempting to contact you through various channels, without success. Unfortunately, due to the lack of communication after the long wait, we had to close the operation and mark the service as a "No Show." To demonstrate our commitment and empathy regarding your flight situation, we have processed an exceptional partial refund, covering the staff costs ourselves. We hope that this action and explanation demonstrate our good faith and the effort made to fulfill the service. We value your feedback. Sincerely,
Raul was a great guide. We saw and learned a lot about Bogota in 5 hours - logistics of picking up and dropping off at airport worked great.
I had a great time in Bogotá. Raul was a great and very kind guide. I got to see the historic center and it’s definitely worth to see. The museum of gold was very interesting and Raul explained a lot of the pieces, how they were made and what they meant for the indigenous people. Unfortunately because the immigration took a long while, we had a bit less time, so if you book the tour you should expect at least one hour from your landing time until you can meet your guide. All in all it was a great way of seeing a bit of Bogotá and so much better than just killing time at the airport. Thank you very much, I loved the city, will be coming back :)
Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re happy to hear that Raul made your time in Bogotá so meaningful, even with the tight schedule. We look forward to welcoming you back soon to keep exploring more of Colombia!
A fantastic tour for a 7-hour layover in Bogota. Enterprise contact is quick and clear. Our guide "Gigio" was impeccable in communication and flexibility depending on the time between flights, weather and traffic status. Our group of 4 people (3 adults and 1 child) took a 4-hour tour, being under the care of the guide and his very detailed knowledge about the city, the country and the natural wealth of the region. The weather was merciful with us in the afternoon, sunrise, no rain and the cool breeze of the city. We knew what was necessary from Bogota as well as tastes of drinks and foods so unique (and delicious) from Colombia. We were very satisfied and happy with the Service provided. Many congratulations to the team in general, but many successes to the guide who made a clear difference from the experience. Hoping to return soon to Colombia, a beautiful country with beautiful people!
— Impulse Travel Team
Friendly and well organized layover tour, can definitely recommend! Martha (guide, she speaks perfect English) and Carolina (driver) made me feel very safe during my short stay in Bogota - I didn’t think I would see so much of the city :) we also stopped for snacks and coffee. Also the communication before the tour was quick and easy via WhatsApp.
We’re happy to hear your layover tour felt smooth, friendly, and safe — Martha and Carolina are a great team! We're also glad the communication was helpful and that you got to enjoy a taste of Bogotá (literally!). Thanks for recommending us! —Impulse Travel Team
I had a truly wonderful experience exploring Bogotá with Raul. Despite a very tight schedule between my morning arrival and evening departure, Raul made sure the tour was both efficient and unhurried. Thanks to his careful pacing and thoughtful planning, we managed to cover a lot in a short amount of time — from breathtaking views atop Monserrate to a walk through the historic center, all while enjoying insightful conversation and an authentic local breakfast. What stood out most was Raul’s depth of knowledge — not just about the city’s history and landmarks, but also its culture, architecture, and natural surroundings. He clearly loves Bogotá and shares that enthusiasm in a way that feels personal and engaging, not scripted. Our conversations flowed naturally, and I appreciated his ability to tailor the experience to the moment rather than sticking rigidly to a preset plan. I left the tour with a much deeper appreciation for the city and a strong desire to return and explore more. This was 100% worth it — highly recommended for anyone looking for an insightful and well-paced introduction to Bogotá.
Thank you so much, Oleh, for your thoughtful and generous review! We’re thrilled to hear that your layover tour with Raúl gave you such a meaningful glimpse into Bogotá. His passion for the city—and for creating a natural, personalized experience—shines through in every moment. We love knowing that even in a short time, the tour left you wanting to return. Thanks again for choosing to explore Colombia with us. Wishing you more unforgettable travels ahead!
Julio was the perfect tour guide! This was perfect for the 11 hr layover I had and gave me a sense of extra safety travelling solo in Colombia. I was able to store my backpack safely in the vehicle while we visited the various stops which provided maximum comfort. We visited the Montserrate, Oro Museum, and the Historical Centre and ended the tour with a snack at one of the markets.
Thanks so much for your kind words, Rabina! We’re so happy Julio made your layover experience in Bogotá feel safe, smooth, and full of great stops. Wishing you more amazing travels ahead 🌎✨ —Impulse Travel Team
