After researching numerous options for our cruise stop in Sarandë, Albania, I booked a private 4x4 tour with Trojan Travel for our group of eight. One important note for fellow cruise passengers: Trojan Travel was extremely reliable. Independent shore excursions can sometimes feel risky when ship departure times are involved, but they were very aware of our schedule and returned us to the port with plenty of time to spare. When our group compared notes at the end of our European itinerary, this excursion was unanimously voted the best tour we took, and Albania was voted the most interesting country we visited. Me and my family of 4 people, 2 adults and 2 children of 5 and 7 years got a full day guided through southern Albania yesterday. We are incredibly happy with our day! Best day of the week holiday in Albania. Even the kids thought so. Our guide was incredibly professional and accommodating.
