Este es un histórico árbol bo sagrado (Ficus religiosa) en el jardín Mahamewuna en Anuradapura.
Lovamahapaya es un edificio situado entre Ruwanweliseya y Sri Mahabodiya en la antigua ciudad de Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. También se le conoce como Palacio de Bronce o Lohaprasadaya porque el techo estaba cubierto con tejas de bronce.
El Ruwanweli Maha Seya, también conocido como swarnamali maha seya (literalmente, 'el Gran Thupa'), es una estupa (una estructura hemisférica que contiene reliquias) en Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. Dos cuartos o un cuarto de las reliquias de Buda están consagrados en la estupa, lo que la convierte en la colección más grande de sus reliquias que existe. Fue construido por el rey cingalés Dutugemunu en c. 140 a.C., que se convirtió en rey de Sri Lanka tras una guerra en la que fue derrotado el rey Chola Elāra (Ellalan).

Sandakada Pahana, también conocida como Piedra Lunar, es una característica única de la arquitectura de la antigua Sri Lanka.[1][2][3] Es una losa de piedra semicircular elaboradamente tallada, generalmente colocada al pie de escaleras y entradas. Visto por primera vez en la última etapa del período Anuradhapura, el sandakada pahana evolucionó a lo largo de los períodos Polonnaruwa, Gampola y Kandy. Según los historiadores, el sandakada pahana simboliza el ciclo del Samsāra en el budismo.
Este gigantesco estanque artificial llamado "Eth Pokuna" o "Estanque de elefantes" está situado cerca de Lankaramaya en Anuradhapura. Se trata de un estanque rectangular, de 159 metros de largo, 52,7 metros de ancho y 9,5 metros de profundidad con una capacidad de retención de 75.000 metros cúbicos de agua. Eth Pokuna significa literariamente "El estanque de los elefantes" debido a su escala. Esto es parte del paisaje del enorme monasterio Abhayagriya que se extiende sobre 500 acres. El tanque está hecho de grandes bloques de piedra apilados en ángulo en las paredes. Hay 3 juegos de escaleras hasta el final, en los lados sur, norte y este. El fondo no está pavimentado.

We had an excellent day with Adee; he adapted to our pace. He has extensive knowledge of architecture, history, and Buddhist culture. Going from temple to temple by bike is a fun way to keep the kids entertained. Adee is a very friendly and cool person. We recommend him 200%, he is the best.

Super experience with Aji. Told us a lot about Buddhism and showed us everything with great enthusiasm. He also speaks quite a bit of Dutch which he learned from all the tourists.
