Ryan did a great job! He was very informative and made the trip fun. Would definitely recommend this tour
Our guide was relaxed, fun and informative, to help us cut down on the time reading all the signs at each place. It was nice to have the admission fees included. This is not against the tour guide, but a couple of people from our crowd were quite abrupt and rude but he handled the experience as best as he could.
Really enjoyable experience, great tour guide and helped see some of Sitka on our ship stop. Easy pick up and drop off. Loved the bird sanctuary the most. Comfortable small group ride.
If I could give this tour a 10 I would. Our day with Riley, our tour guide was amazing. He was great with my 5 grandchildren. The memories we will take home from Sitka will last a lifetime.
The staff were exceptionally knowledgeable, the vehicle was clean and the trip was well organized and the stops were outstanding.
Great tour with a wonderful guide. My favorite was the bear rescue center. I could watch them for hours; Lucky is my favorite! I'm so glad we took this tour.

I got to see everything I want to see in Alaska, Eagles, bears, even salmons! Ryan our guide was very witty, informative and fun. I highly recommend him.
While the trip was interesting, we found the travel accommodations to be a tight fit (we are not large people) in our opinion the best parts were the Raptor Rehabilitation center, as it was up lifting to know the goal was to get them back to the wild. The other exceptional part was the Totem National Park and the trail of totems. We loved the emphasis on local indigenous people’s history and culture. Sadly for us, we found the bear sanctuary to be a bit depressing. While it’s good to know the orphaned cubs were safe, it was sad to know their entire existence will be extremely limited in habitat.

The rehabilitation work at the Raptor Center is truly inspiring, and the totem trail is one of our favorite places to share the rich history and culture of the Tlingit people. We were surprised to read that you found our transportation to be a tight fit. We use spacious, high-roof 14-passenger Ford Transit touring vans, and every guest has their own individual seat. While our tours are often full because of their popularity, we also spend relatively little time in the vehicle—typically no more than 15–20 minutes between stops—so most of the tour is spent exploring Sitka’s attractions rather than riding in the van. We also understand your feelings about the Fortress of the Bear. Seeing animals that cannot return to the wild can certainly be emotional. The bears there are orphaned or permanently unable to survive on their own, and the sanctuary provides them with lifelong professional care while also educating visitors about bear conservation and the importance of keeping wild bears wild. Although it’s never the same as seeing bears roaming freely, many guests appreciate that these animals have a safe home rather than facing euthanasia. Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback.
