The tour is advertised as lasting 5.5 hours, but the actual time spent at the site is only around 2 hours. The rest of the time is taken up by sorting out train tickets and travelling to and from the location, so the description is a bit misleading. That said, Mickey was a great tour guide, friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience enjoyable. It's also a bit overpriced. The attraction itself has free entry, we still had to pay for our own train tickets, and the tour company charged an additional €30 on top. Considering the actual guided portion only lasted around two hours, it didn't feel like good value for money.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback and for your kind words about Mickey. We're delighted to hear you found him friendly, knowledgeable, and that he made the experience enjoyable. Our Sachsenhausen tour is advertised as a 5.5-hour excursion from Berlin, and that's exactly what it is—a fully guided return journey. Your professional guide accompanies the group from Berlin to the memorial, provides historical context throughout the journey, delivers an in-depth guided tour of the memorial itself, and travels back with you to Berlin, ensuring a complete and seamless experience from start to finish. While entry to the memorial is free, our price reflects the expertise of our professional guides and the organisation of the entire excursion. Train tickets are clearly stated as not being included, allowing guests the flexibility to use existing travel passes if they have them. We're therefore a little disappointed by the 3-star rating, as the tour was delivered exactly as advertised. Nevertheless, we genuinely appreciate your comments and are pleased that Mickey helped make your visit a memorable one. Thanks, and safe travels, Insider Tour
A sobering trip of course, but important. Nikolai did a great job of getting us there despite some challenges with public transport, and then presented Sachsenhausen with evident knowledge, professionalism and a perfect tone for the location.

This tour was a definite highlight for us and certainly one to remember. Our guide Joseph was incredibly knowledgeable, did not rush anyone, answered the many, many questions and was very respectful of the camp. From start to finish this tour was full of history, interesting facts and time to reflect and acknowledge those that were murdered and suffered terribly. We would love to do another tour with Joseph, he made the experience 10/10.

We're grateful for your review. It's great to know you enjoyed the tour. Thank you for your support. Thanks and safe travels, Insider Tour
Overall train trip to see the concentration camp - keep in mind the timeframe ends up being 5 hours plus. Also, need to buy a train ticket in advance & note, must be an A/B/C ticket. Next can't assume public transport is going to be on time or worse in our case, cancel hence having to change to entirely different train and arrival location. Next, walk to / from camp from train station is another 20 minutes plus tour, a lot of walking.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback. We're so happy the tour exceeded your expectations. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your visit. Thanks and all the best, Insider Tour

Maria's knowledge was very good and the tour was very informative. It gives you a taste of what the camps are and the purposes of them. She was able to reference this camp to the others and explain the running of it in comparison to those. She was able to explain different parts of the camp and explained the use of certain items. On the way out and back into Berlin she pointed out some historical buildings and what they were for and referenced to films that were made there. Would highly recommend.
Your recommendation is greatly appreciated. We're happy the tour left such a positive impression. Thank you for choosing Insider Tour. Thanks and all the best, Insider Tour
This was a thought-provoking, sensitively presented tour involving some dark aspects of history. The guide, Joseph, was excellent. I left knowing considerably more about this part of European and human history than when I arrived.

This experience is a must do when coming to Berlin. Our tour guide Paul was well-studied, very knowledgeable, and gave the tour with utmost respect. We learned a lot and gained a deeper understanding of the context of the camp, how it came to be and the lives of the prisoners.
Thank you for joining us. We're delighted you found the experience both enjoyable and informative. Safe travels on the rest of your journey. Thanks and safe travels, Insider Tour
