The guide had excellent knowledge of all the sites we visited, he wascable to guide us to each site easily. However he did tend to move away quickly to the next site, leaving the group strung out.
Exciting and inspiring guided bike tour past Berlin’s main attractions. Very welcoming, friendly and passionate guide. Can be recommended, especially for families with teenagers.
My son (13) wanted to do the cycle tour and he chose well, it started off as a lovely day to cycle around the city. The tour guide was very friendly and was engaging with us explaining exactly where we're going next. The heavens opened but they provided ponchos in the basket and we stayed under shelter for a wee while and then continued. I don't think the delay cost us any views. You do need to be fairly confident on a bike as the traffic can be intimidating but you don't need to be super fit as it is a a gentle ride with plenty of stops
Our guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Always asked if we had questions. Took us to great places and explained it all.
Disappointing experience and poor resolution Unfortunately, our experience on the Best Berlin Bike Tour did not live up to what was advertised. Our original 5:30 pm booking was moved to 6:30 pm via WhatsApp just a few hours before the tour, which was disappointing but something we accepted. However, the tour itself raised a number of concerns. There were 16 participants with only one guide, and no safety briefing was provided before we set off. We received no instructions about riding in traffic, stopping at lights, or what to do if the group became separated. Instead, a guest was asked to volunteer to wear a high-visibility vest and ride at the back of the group to help keep everyone together. While the company later explained this is their normal procedure, it meant a paying customer was effectively assisting with group management. The tour also felt unsafe at times. On several occasions the group crossed junctions after the lights had changed, leaving riders to make split-second decisions in traffic. The guide also smoked while leading the tour and disappeared into a wooded area to urinate, rather than stopping at public facilities. The tour description promises "commentary throughout," but there were long stretches with little or no commentary, particularly during the final 45 minutes, when we mostly cycled without stopping at any significant sights. Some explanations were also difficult to understand due to the guide's English, and parts of the historical commentary came across as insensitive. After the tour, I contacted the company directly before leaving a review. They responded quickly, apologised, acknowledged that the experience fell below their usual standards, and said they would address the issues with the guide. However, despite the significant shortcomings, they refused to offer any refund and instead offered a voucher for a future tour. As we do not expect to return to Berlin, this was not a meaningful resolution. I appreciate that the company took the time to respond and did not ignore my complaint. However, I paid over £80 for three people and do not believe the experience represented good value or met the standard advertised. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this tour.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are genuinely sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. As we explained in our private correspondence, we took your concerns seriously, apologized, and discussed the issues internally with the guide. We understand that our public bike tours, particularly on busy days with larger groups, may not suit every guest's expectations. However, the tour was completed as booked, and many other guests on the same tour completed the experience without raising similar concerns. Although we were unable to offer a refund for a service that was fully provided, we nevertheless offered an open-ended complimentary voucher as a gesture of goodwill. We wish you all the best and thank you again for your feedback.
It was so much fun to see city while biking, it was easy too. Our gide was friendly and it was intersting to listen to stories, when we had stops he was there to look over the bikes while we were able to walk around the areas. He took few photos of us too.
Matte was a great guide. Enjoyable tour and lots of interesting information. Fab way of seeing the city highlights.
The guided tour was a great way to visit all the ‘must see’ locations in Berlin. Our guide, Joseph, had a deep knowledge of the history of Germany and the locations we visited. He was considerate to the group and was happy to answer all our questions, and ensure we were all getting the most from our experience. 🌟
This is a fascinating way to explore Berlin seeing locations along the way that we would not have understood their significance if not for our insightful guide . So much fun riding the streets too!
Visited many wonderful sites around the city. Very knowledgeable tour guide, Matty. He was very knowledgeable and explained all the history to us and answered all of our questions. The evening bike ride was awesome.
