De la antigüedad a la actualidad, un castillo viviente Este castillo es el orgullo y la alegría de la ciudad de Berat. Su patio ofrece hermosas vistas de la ciudad y el valle, y seguro que los habitantes del castillo te darán una cálida bienvenida.
Su nombre está inscrito en el Museo Iconográfico Nacional de Berat, que se encuentra en la Catedral de la Dormición de Santa María. La iglesia bizantina se destaca por un iconostasio tallado en madera de nogal, bañado en oro, y rodeado de otras exquisitas obras de arte medieval. La colección del museo, que suma 173 obras escogidas, comprende también la mayor parte de la obra de Onufri. Las obras de arte posbizantinas del famoso Onufri fueron continuadas a partir de entonces por sus alumnos, incluido su propio hijo, Nikolla. Todos los iconos de este museo fueron pintados entre los siglos XVI y XX por pintores iconográficos albaneses.
Construido en el centro de la ciudad de Berat, el grandioso Puente de Gorica es uno de los puentes otomanos más bellos de la región de los Balcanes y conecta la ciudad con el barrio del mismo nombre. Este objeto debe gran parte de su belleza a su arco muy gradual, de 10 m de altura, que se extiende elegantemente 130 m a ambos lados del lecho del río Osumi. Está compuesto por un total de siete arcos, barandas de madera y varias “ventanas” pequeñas, que dan a los arcos rasgos faciales caprichosos, lo que hace que este puente sea realmente una vista rara. Una vez visto, le resultará difícil no detener su automóvil al costado de la carretera para admirar su belleza de cerca.
Berat, una de las ciudades más antiguas y antiguas de Albania, ocupará todo el día con un paisaje impresionante, así como con su rica historia y tradición. Esta pequeña pero llamativa iglesia del siglo XIV oculta numerosos frescos impresionantes dentro de sus muros medievales, lo que la convierte en uno de los mejores ejemplos de arquitectura bizantina en Albania. La Iglesia de la Santísima Trinidad es una de las iglesias más antiguas de Berat. La iglesia está ubicada en el antiguo barrio de Mangalem de Berat, en el lado sur del castillo de Berat. El castillo cuenta con una impresionante perspectiva panorámica del área medieval de Gorica, el río Osumi y el paseo marítimo contemporáneo de Berat, también conocido como el famoso conjunto armónico protegido por la UNESCO que es Berat.
La Mezquita de los Solteros es un hito destacado del barrio de Mangalem, que forma parte de la ciudad de Berat en Albania. El espectacular edificio fue diseñado y construido alrededor de 1828 y, en la actualidad, es una importante estructura patrimonial de la ciudad. Se destaca por su importancia arquitectónica y cultural, y una vez fue uno de los principales sitios religiosos de la ciudad. Cuenta con un magnífico minarete y sus interiores están adornados con pinturas vibrantes y coloridas. El estimado Ministerio de Cultura de Albania ha designado esta mezquita como un "Monumento Cultural". ¡No dejes pasar este lugar a cualquier costo!
Este es un bulevar largo y ancho realmente agradable que está bordeado por cafés y restaurantes por un lado y el parque Lulishtja por el otro. Por las noches se llena de gente y tiene un ambiente maravilloso. Hay un impresionante telón de fondo de The Tomorr Mountain en una dirección y la ciudadela en la otra.

Ani is such an amazing guide! He is a professional, knowledgeable, and very friendly guide. Berat was stunning; a lovely walk around the castle, stopping at numerous sites. We learnt a lot of things during our trip: we ate great food, drank great wines, strong raki, and learnt a lot about Albanian culture and tradition. Like how to drink raki with a family or group of friends. Best day tour option to book if you are coming to visit Albania!
I don’t often write a review but Mario really deserves one. His tour was nothing short of brilliant and I’m already recommending it to others. From when Mario picked us up (on time and in a clean car) he chatted sharing his knowledge of the country and some personal stories too. He answered pretty much all our questions and made us feel at ease. The tour itself to Berat was great (you can ready about the place elsewhere). Mario took us around the castle showing us the best view points, chatting about the history and introducing us to residents as we went. After lunch we visited the towns either side of the river. We requested lunch and Mario took us to a beautiful local restaurant with the most amazing views. Everything on the tour was about giving us the absolute best experience. After lunch we headed to Cobo vineyard for wine tasting. Another great experience where Mario could share more stories and his local knowledge while we drank wine. Then back to the hotel! Throughout it all Mario also took photos of us (both posed and ones we didn’t know were happening). He’s a brilliant photographer! It wasn’t cringy (I generally hate my photo being taken!) and now we have so many photographic memories of the day along. I can’t recommend Mario enough. I’ve heard great things about the other tours too and I only wish we’d known about Tok tours earlier.
This was one of the best tours I've ever had. Andi was the perfect guide, answering any questions that we had and telling us everything we wanted to know about Berat as well as Albania. Unfortunately, it was very hot, but he always made sure to talk with us in the shadows so we wouldn't burn. He was a smooth driver while giving tips and history about each area we passed by. It was an amazing tour, and I highly recommend it for anyone traveling to Albania.

Me and my mum took the tour to berat and berat Castle with Mario and it was amazing! Mario was very informative, professional and friendly and took us to see so much! Offered plenty of stops on the drive to berat and when we got to berat he took us everywhere and showed us everything. We even got to meet the oldest lady living in Berat and have tea with her and talk to her! He had lots of information and history of the place. Fantastic tour and an even more amazing tour guide!
