Benagil: Caves, Beaches, and Secret Spots Guided Kayak Tour

Excellent activity with the family (kids aged 9 and 11). It is busy but by going for the 9 am slot I think we missed the worst of it. It’s a bit chaotic getting onto the kayaks and out but our guide Fabio was brilliant and the small groups (max 7 kayaks) helped keep us together and much more pleasurable than a bigger group. Having some kayaking experience was useful so it was easier to navigate when entrances to caves got busy and other kayaks tried to push ahead. The sea got choppy with lots of boats by the time we came back at 11 but was manageable. The caves were fab and exciting to go into some of the smaller ones. Thanks Fabio, it was a great activity.

Everything was great, was cloudy day so pictures cant do justice. Guide was great it was only 5 of us with a guide. If you think you will get great photos forget about that unless someone else takes them of you. You cannot swim or walk inside of the caves so forget about nice pix shown online. Next time I would take a boat tour just because its easier ti take photos if you like taking photos. Thats all. Its hard to know when is better to go morning or afternoon or midday. Its just luck. One of the most incredible experiences! It is incredibly beautiful and just the perfect amount of time. I recommend going on the early trip as the water got crowded later w other kayaks and boats.

We had an amazing time doing the 2hr kayak trip. Nico was a great guide, very knowledgeable and made the experience really fun. Myself, the wife and our 7year old daughter went and we all had a great time. The kayaks are really stable even when there's a lot of swell from the boats. We did the 9am trip and by the end it was starting to get busy with boats so it seems like getting an early trip is a good idea. When we arrived the car park was pretty empty but when we were leaving it was getting busy and the traffic was pretty bad as there are a lot of cars trying to get through a small town so allow plenty of time to park if you're on a later trip. Also worth noting the car park was €3.5 and only takes cash.

The organization was great and our guide was very dedicated. I was alone with two children, which was no problem at all. We had a 3-person kayak. Halfway through, we took a break where you could also swim in the very fresh water. Since we had some extra time at the end (because the crowd at the dock is quite enormous and not everyone can go at the same time), we spontaneously went into another cave.

The experience is cool and the guides are friendly except for two things: the excursion was super fast, they were in such a rush, there wasn't even time to take photos, you entered the caves running and left running; at first I thought that maybe you weren't allowed to stop, but we saw other excursions that stopped in the sand to take photos or in the caves, and the second thing is that I chose the excursion in Spanish and the guide did speak Spanish, but there were only two Spanish couples and the others spoke another language, so the explanations were in another language with minimal summaries in Spanish only in some caves.

All around great experience, tour took 2hrs as advertised. Lots of caves covered. Make sure to take pictures on time and ask other people from your group to take pics of you as you wont be able to. Paddling and pictures do not go together.

Nice reception! After first chaotic scenes on the beach and sea in connection with the crowds a good and English accompaniment v Arthur! Have made a wonderful trip! Recommended!!
