It was a great food-tour with Haitao. He showed us 4 spots, where we could taste typical local dishes. The restaurants were no tourist-spots and had a very familiar atmosphere. We had enough time to get plenty of food and a nice chat with the other tour-members.
We had an amazing time with Haitao! Plenty of delicous traditional food and so many interesting stories about China :)
Haitao’s stories and all that traditional food made your evening feel packed from start to finish! We loved reading that you had such an amazing time in Beijing with us.

Absolutely incredible tour with Haitao! Perfectly timed and organized. It was about 3.5 hours and every meal was delicious. We went to restaurants I couldn’t even find on a map. The stops were well paced and our guide was super knowledgeable and helpful.
Thanks for this! Haitao and the pacing made for such a smooth evening for you. We loved reading that you got to places you couldn’t even find on a map, and that the meals kept things delicious throughout.
For my last night in Beijing, I was lucky to book this tour and have Winnie as my guide. The food and places where we went were excellent. Sometimes in this type of tour the food is excessive and in the end little is appreciated. This tour was not the case, all in the right measurements. Winnie was a 100% professional guide, very helpful and friendly. It was a pleasure! A tour and a magnificent night.

The meeting point was super easy to find and all of the restaurants had something unique to offer! All of the food was great especially the hotpot and the meat buns (were my favourites). I would have just liked for a refreshing dessert stop at the end, on the Shanghai tour we had like a sweet cold local desert that I loved and was an awesome end to the tour, especially because it was so hot yesterday, I would have loved something like that as well! Thank you so much to our amazing guide Janice for explaining everything so well and sharing stories behind the dishes and locations we visited!
What a great Beijing evening you had! We loved reading that Janice’s stories and explanations helped bring the dishes and locations to life for you, and that the hotpot and meat buns stood out on your night. Thanks for sharing that with us!
fantastic dinner tour with our guide Grace. She is warm, enthusiastic and quite knowledgeable. Even with a large group, she managed everything flawlessly.
Grace’s warmth and energy clearly made your dinner tour shine! Even with a large group, you still had a smooth evening, and it was great that her knowledge stood out for you.
Five stars, without hesitation. This was an excellent cultural and gastronomical experience — the tastes were impeccable, one memorable flavor after another. Our guide Haitao was fantastic: very knowledgeable and helpful, with fascinating, in-depth stories about Chinese history and culture, all delivered in perfect, fluent English. Our only "challenge" came from within the family. While our daughter was open to tasting anything, our 13-year-old son decided to protest at the very first stop and announced he wanted to go to a "normal" restaurant. We explained that this IS normal in China, and once he saw other young boys happily digging into the delicious dishes, he finally started eating at the last stop — and liked it! But until then... phew, it was quite the battle. :) It was a truly memorable evening! Oh, those flavors... Haitao — a big thank you for the experience! Highly recommended, even (or especially) for families with teens, a great lesson: learning to be brave and open for discovery of unknown cultures!
We loved reading about your family’s evening, especially that your son came around after all that early protest! Haitao’s in-depth stories and your willingness to keep exploring made it clearly memorable for you, and the flavors stayed with you.
