Itinerario
What a delightful tour to learn more about Chinese culture through the diverse cuisine. The tour was perfectly paced, tour guide Winnie was very attentive and knowledgeable about the history and cultural relevance of the dishes we were trying. She had a great sense of humour and shared information in bite-size chunks so we could connect and engage joyfully.

Great experience trying different breakfast meals. Our guide Winnie was wonderful . She was engaging and shared many stories and interesting facts as we walked through the hutongs. The food stops were fantastic. The food was delicious, and we got to try so many authentic dishes.
Winnie really made your breakfast walk engaging! The hutong stories and all those different breakfast meals stood out for you.
The tours are great! Winnie was our guide and she was brilliant. So knowledgeable about the history of the food and location, offering advice for other places to visit, and happy to answer questions about life and work in Beijing. The food was also spectacular. Buns, breads, fermented bean juice haha…it’s a proper taste of Beijing. We ate at lots of locations and Winnie didn’t rush us, she explained everything and encouraged us all to try new things. Loved it. I enjoyed it so much I forgot to take photos. Need to go back and do that again. Very much recommend.
Winnie made your morning feel easy and full of discovery! We loved reading that her knowledge and the proper taste of Beijing had you so caught up you forgot to take photos.
Well worth it!! We had Winnie as our guide and her was incredible! Very knowledgeable and fun. The food was delicious and it was fun trying lots of different things. The walk along the hutongs was cute. Highly recommended!

Grace is an absolute fantastic for hutong breakfast tour She took us through quiet local alleyways and a bustling morning market, hitting tiny family stalls tourists never find. We had fresh crispy jianbing, tofu pudding, warm fried dough and all the classic Beijing morning bites 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 everything tasted insanely authentic.👏
We loved sharing our favorite Beijing breakfast spots with you. Glad Grace could show you those quiet alleyways and that the fresh jianbing and tofu pudding hit the spot.
We had a huge feast at the first location with soup, fried bread, beef sandwiches, dumplings, and a fermented mung bean drink. After that we stopped at different stands to taste things in the hutongs which you would never know about if you went alone. Then we ended with a seated tasting of sweet treats. The majority of the tour was eating while walking/standing but Grace offered to buy us lots of water and tea on the way. I think we ate from 6 or 7 different locations. The whole way Grace told us about the history of Beijing and the food we were eating. I loved this tour and can’t wait to go on another Lost Plate tour in another city.
Thanks for spending time with us in Beijing. Glad Grace and the food both stood out.
