Situado frente al barrio de Vila Olímpica, fue construido en 1990 durante la remodelación de esta zona de Barcelona. El puerto deportivo fue diseñado por los arquitectos Oriol Bohigas, Josep Martorell, David Mackay y Albert Puigdomènech. La ciudad necesitaba un puerto deportivo que cumpliera con los estándares exigentes, y fue el lugar de las competiciones de vela durante los Juegos Olímpicos de 1992. El puerto deportivo cuenta con 756 amarres para yates y su entrada es visible desde cualquier punto de Barcelona. Los dos rascacielos a ambos lados son la Torre Mapfre y el Hotel Arts, con la espectacular escultura de peces dorados de Frank Gehry en su base, y cerca, el Gran Casino de Barcelona. Los amantes de los deportes acuáticos pueden navegar o practicar otro tipo de técnicas de navegación aquí, y en verano, las playas a ambos lados del puerto deportivo – Somorrostro y Nova Icària – son el lugar perfecto para tomar el sol o para darse un chapuzón refrescante en el mar.
La escultura Fish del arquitecto Frank Gehry, ganador del Premio Pritzker en 1989, se ha convertido en uno de los símbolos de la Barcelona postolímpica y parece que se mueve sobre las aguas del Mediterráneo. La luz solar se refleja en las escalas de esta escultura que preside el paseo marítimo de la Marina Olímpica y las playas de Barcelona. En 1992, la prístina Barcelona olímpica estaba transformando su paseo marítimo. Una nueva Marina Olímpica estaba tomando forma, presidida por sus torres gemelas. A un lado estaba la Torre Mapfre; al otro estaba el Hotel Arts. Frank Gehry colocó su escultura de pescado al pie del hotel. El animal mide 56 metros de largo y 35 metros de alto y parece anhelar saltar a las aguas azules del Mediterráneo.
Port Vell, literalmente en español "Puerto Viejo" es un puerto costero en Barcelona, Cataluña, España, y parte del Puerto de Barcelona. Fue construido como parte de un programa de renovación urbana previo a los Juegos Olímpicos de Barcelona 1992. Antes de esto, era una zona deteriorada de almacenes vacíos, patios de ferrocarril y fábricas. 16 millones de personas visitan el complejo cada año Actualmente es un punto focal de la ciudad y de atracción turística, conteniendo el Maremàgnum (un centro comercial que contiene tiendas, un cine múltiplex, bares y restaurantes), el IMAX Port Vell y el acuario más grande de Europa que contiene 8000 peces y 11 tiburones contenidos en 22 cuencas llenas de seis millones de litros (1,6 millones de galones estadounidenses) de agua de mar. Una pasarela peatonal, Rambla de Mar, conecta La Rambla con Port Vell Incorpora un puente basculante, con el fin de permitir la entrada y salida de barcos del puerto

Unforgettable trip with the French captain Marie who knows Barcelona very well and was able to advise us for other cultural and tourist outings! The guitarist was at the top, he could play songs of his choice or ours, a treat! And a dive of the boat in the open sea for all those who wanted it was particularly appreciated by my whole family, really we recommend 100 percent! Thank you again.

This sunset sail with an amazing live guitar musician was just the highlight of our whole trip !!! The sea was gentle and the breeze just enough to set the sails and navigate away from the city to get the perfect views of the skyline of Barcelona. Amazing experience : very peaceful. The live music added the perfect touch of chill, excellent musician. Our captain Mary has been very nice and provided us explanations of the main sightseeings and some recomendation for going out. We really recommend this trip in music : don't miss it !!!

Unforgettable experience with Marie, an adorable French captain who knows Barcelona perfectly and was able to advise us for other visits! The excellent guitarist delighted us by playing songs at our request and others of his choice that perfectly matched the Mood of the sunset... icing on the cake, we were able to swim in the open sea by diving from the boat, really an outing that we recommend to all those who pass through Barcelona and want to experience something exceptional

We wanted for our wedding anniversary to take the sun , the sea, the sea, and we were delighted, Captain Marie from our arrival is very welcoming, smiling , bubbly, listening to our desires. It was great, we could ask the guitarist for the melodies, music we wanted. Purely awesome, especially at sunset with the guitar in the background, awesome. Captain Marie very discreet and always present, very pleasant, you can go with your eyes closed.
