Once on each route we had to get off the bus and get on a new one, possibly because they were electric and ran out of juice? So after finally getting a seat upstairs, I lost my good seat because of the transfer. Also, on one route, we had to wait in the hot sun at a stop for the driver to go to the bathroom. Then 3 stops later, we had to wait again for the ticket taker to go to the bathroom
Our guide Anatoli was knowledgeable, patient and courteous. I would book with him again.
Dear Sir/Ma’m, Actually, unfortunately, this bus, this city tour bus had never been able to serve us because they said they had no business with you, TripAdvisor, so the confirmation number and payment when we went to the office, they said no use at all; that is exactly what happened and we never received any code in our registered email: lucianizhu@gmail.com nothing to use as the ticket. This one is a disaster. Would you be so kind as to arrange the refund for this disastrous outcome? Best, Since we cannot reach you in Spain, which is another disaster. Tao and family
Total waste of money. Slow, slow, slow. It repeats the same guide messages over and over and plays music inbetween while stuck in traffic. Public transport (buses and metro) are far cheaper and quicker. We spent a total of 1hr 20mins on a 24hr ticket. And absolutely packed with people. Don't do it.
Meeting the right bus was very difficult. Hard to communicate as there is a language barrier. Ended up getting on the wrong bus which did not go to some of the places we wanted to see. It was a hot day. Bring your own water nothing is provided.
Did not have a record of my purchase through Viator. Route maps on app and paper maps did not match.
This was a good way to see the city but it’s very crowded. Our bus broke down which was also unfortunate.
Barcelona in summer is hot. To be expected. The operators kept the a/c on the first bus so low that it was worse than being outside in the sun. They also didn’t provide any advance information about where to catch the bus, nor were there maps readily available like the other hop on hop off bus company. An app or website with that information would have been helpful. We were lucky to board a newer bus the second day, which was much more comfortable re a/c. The routes provide good coverage of the city’s highlights, so that was a positive.
Done many bus tours in cities and this was the worst so far. Long waits at every stop were frustrating and elongated the tour. If you get off the bus it’s a long wait to get on a bus as they all seemed to be packed! Resulting in us not getting around the whole route. We booked 24 hour access and added the catamaran cruise but there was no info before booking that no cruises that day and none until afternoon the next day (start 12.30) So we could not commence the bus tour in the morning as it triggers the 24 hour period. Indeed we had to spend half hour live chat to find out the cruise timetable and also to see if any flex on the 24 hour rule. Sadly not. I The cruise operator was rude - we queued for 40 mins only to have a tour group prioritised to board ahead of the queue. Not a big deal as we all got on the boat but we and others expressed our disappointment and the captain said in Spanish ‘ I hate dealing with these (expletive starting with fu) people’ Not nice!!
6 of us had what felt like 2 lovely days on the buses even though we only had a 24 hour pass, because we didn't start till 11.30 on Day 1 and did the Red Tour, followed by returning nice and early on Day 2 to complete the Green route. Really interesting introduction to Barcelona. A great balance of history, music and directions. We all really enjoyed it (despite great heat).
