Hoy visitamos los templos más interesantes fuera de la ciudad de Angkor Thom. Saliendo de su hotel a las 8:00 am, comenzará con la primera parada en el templo hindú Pre Rup, construido como el templo estatal del rey jemer Rajendravarman y dedicado en 961 o principios de 962. Es una montaña de templos de ladrillos, lateritas y construcciones de arenisca.
Continúe conduciendo por el intrincadamente tallado y bien conservado Banteay Srei. Los relieves detallados en esta estructura de arenisca más pequeña se consideran los más finos y hábilmente diseñados en Camboya. Banteay Srei solo ha sido accesible desde fines de la década de 1990, cuando los Jemeres Rojos abandonaron el área. Terminamos nuestra gira en Angkor con un almuerzo en el templo (por cuenta propia) y un breve descanso.

He shared a wealth of interesting and useful information, and his warm and engaging personality really helped bring the whole group together. The tour was very well organised. We got to visit some of the most spectacular temples within the Angkor complex. Our guide, Mr. Sok Chea, was very engaging and informative regarding the history of Angkor and Khmer culture.

This tour exceeded all of my expectations. Sok was, without a doubt, one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Angkor and Cambodian culture, but what really sets him apart is how engaging and personable he is. He made the entire experience fun, informative, and memorable. One thing I especially appreciated was his photography skills. He knows all the best spots for photos and has a great eye for composition, so I now have some amazing pictures at the temples that I’ll treasure. I learned so much throughout the tour and Sok truly enhanced every part of the experience. His intelligence, humor, and attention to detail made this one of my favorite trips. I would also strongly recommend spending more than one day exploring Angkor if your schedule allows. While the most famous temples are incredible, some of the smaller and less crowded temples were among the highlights of my visit. There is so much to see, and taking the extra time is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!
