En Howlanders consideramos el “Tour Glaciares Balmaceda y Serrano” como una visita obligada para todo viajero que visite Puerto Natales. Desde el barco, el recorrido te permitirá conocer dos de los glaciares más impresionantes de Chile: Balmaceda y Serrano. Además de los glaciares, este tour incluye una caminata de 40 minutos por un frondoso bosque hasta llegar a los pies de los glaciares. En el camino de regreso al barco, podrás disfrutar de un vaso de whisky elaborado con hielo milenario de los glaciares, café o una taza de té caliente. ¿Estás listo para una verdadera aventura? Itinerario
A la hora propuesta, nos vemos en el punto de encuentro ubicado en el centro de Puerto Natales para un tour briefing. A continuación, el autobús de enlace te llevará a Puerto Bories, a unos 5 km de distancia. Puedes presentarte directamente en Puerto Bories si te conviene más. Una vez allí, abordarás el barco para comenzar tu gran aventura!
¡Todos a bordo! Zarpa hacia los Glaciares Balmaceda y Serrano por el Fiordo Ultima Esperanza. Durante la primera parte de la travesía, podrá observar la naturaleza desbordante de la Patagonia cuando el capitán se acerque a las colonias de cormoranes, el barranco de los lobos marinos (ver descansar a los lobos marinos), el acantilado de los cóndores y las grandes cascadas. Continuar hacia el Parque Nacional Bernardo O'Higgins y desembarcar en Puerto Toro. Luego, estira las piernas en un paseo de 40 minutos por un sendero a través de un exuberante bosque de coihues y hayas del sur. Al final de la ruta, descubre el mirador principal frente al gran glaciar Serrano y disfruta de las vistas más espectaculares de este cautivador glaciar.
Tendrás tiempo libre para disfrutar de las vistas al glaciar y pasear por algunos de los senderos de los alrededores mientras regresas al barco. Una vez que regrese a bordo, la tripulación lo recibirá con una copa de whisky enfriado por hielo glaciar antiguo, un café recién preparado o una taza de té caliente.
A continuación, el barco continuará su viaje hacia una estancia tradicional patagónica (rancho). Allí, desembarcarás de nuevo para saborear un delicioso almuerzo con ensalada, sopa, cordero a la parrilla con papas y postre, maridado con vino chileno o una bebida de tu elección. ¡También hay alternativas vegetarianas disponibles!
Después del almuerzo, comience el viaje de regreso a Puerto Natales con la primera parada en Puerto Boires. Desde allí el autobús lanzadera te dejará en el centro de la ciudad con una hora de llegada entre las 4 :00 p.m. y las 5 :00 p.m. (dependiendo de la temporada).

The tours presented the Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers were spectacular. Having never seen a glacier, the small boat allow us to get close to enjoy the personal view of Serrano Glacier. However Balmaceda Glacier require hiking to the site. This was not clear in description of the 2 day tour. Finally, it was a very pricey experience.

The walk is a gift for the senses, the navigation has everything you need for one to fully enjoy the walk, the view is spectacular and the national park you visit is beautiful, the color of the water, the visit to the glaciers, a must-see home port.

The company who runs this trip are extremely good with fantastic attention to detail cannot praise them enough. Great views and service. Snacks and coffee or tea in the morning and then a short hike followed by whiskey and an amazing lunch with local wine included.

We had a wonderful day frim.the friendly welcome to coffee and xookie. We got so close to the sights on the boat. Loved the hike. That was the first tie I've gone on a boat tour that included a hike. A very nice break in the day! Lunch was fabulous! The entire day was delightful.

We had an amazing experience riding horses. Sergio took us on a loop around the area. The horses were great and Sergio told us a lot about the area , history and nature. I loved my horse Canario. My friend rode blancita. Thank you estancia pingo savage

The scenery all the way through the fjords to the glaciers is spectacular. The boat is comfortable and staff were friendly and attentive. You can sit and watch the wonders through the windows or go out on deck to take photos or see closer views. Be prepared with warm clothing, hat, gloves etc if going on deck. Tea, coffee, snacks and a whisky is served on board and you get to meet people from many different nations and talk about different experiences. The walk to the bottom of the glacier is on some uneven terrain with steps etc but well worth it if you can do it. Saw my first iceberg on this short trek! Lunch at the hacienda was great. Large indoor restaurant with generous lunch- salad, soup, lamb, chicken or vegetarian main, dessert and drink (wine etc)) For the large number of people service was very efficient. If you don’t like lots of meat and potatoes maybe try the vegetarian. Only downside is if you don’t like big groups (150 odd) and lining up for toilets etc this tour may not be for you .
