This was amazing! I loved the hotter ones that were 109F and the sauna was amazing!!! Be sure to bring cash if you need a towel but it is refundable $10 each. Beautiful facility and enjoyed the wet bar
This was a last minute pivot to go to Baldi. The rains were so torrential we couldn’t go on our hike of the volcano. This pivot was amazing! We all had a fabulous time. All of the staff was exceptional. It was clean, and just wonderful! Highly recommend it! The food was wonderful as well. I am Celiac and they made me the best burger and fries and I feel great. Do this if you can! My teenage boys LOVED the waterslides. The sauna was so cool and my 8 year old had a blast.
We were not told that it is cash only for towels. We had to drive back to the hotel and get cash to be able to enjoy this experience. It would’ve helped to mention this or send a reminder.
Awesome experience. Would highly recommend spending the money for a full day! We would skip the lunch and just buy what we wanted but we do not really like buffets. It also took forever to get through lunch. If you do the lunch, I recommend getting there a few mins before your time
I visited Baldi Hot Springs the day after a flight, and it was the perfect way to relax and unwind. The setting is lovely, and I really liked how the pool temperatures change as you move further up – it gives you a nice variety to choose from depending on how hot you want it. It’s a great place to spend a chilled afternoon, especially if you’re looking to relax after travelling. Overall, a really enjoyable and relaxing experience.
Beautiful location, well- maintained, excellent thermals, courteous staff and very helpful. Especially at check- in. We had a glitch at check-in and both Baldi staff and Viator worked to promptly get it resolved. Viator had very responsive customer service representative who answered right away and followed through to get us on our way.
We loved visiting Baldi on a day pass. The different pools are beautifully landscaped. It is a unique experience. Everything is meticulously maintained. Staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely worthwhile.
Baldi Hot Springs was such a vibe. At first glance it can look like a lot of pools, but once you get in you realize how clear the water is and how genuinely hot it gets. The quality of the water is what makes it. It feels clean, natural, and powerful. There is one pool at the very top toward the back far from the entrance that is extremely hot. I personally love very hot water, so that was my favorite. My friend thought the other pools were hot enough and felt the one I loved was way too intense. So just know there are temperature options depending on what you enjoy. The hottest pool at the top has waterfall pressure features that hit your back and shoulders, which felt unreal after days of activity. It also has what a natural sauna built into curved rock where volcanic steam rises. Sitting there with hot mineral water flowing and steam surrounding you genuinely felt surreal. I had one of those moments where I thought, what is my life right now. It was such a great experience. This is a must do for relaxing. I recommend going after a long activity day. I did this after white water rafting about ten miles total of movement and a lot of upper body work, plus ziplining the day before and a three mile hike. It was the perfect way to reset your body. They have swim up bars, so bring cash or a card if you plan to order drinks. Towels are ten dollars each but you get the ten dollars back when you return them. Lockers are seven dollars. If you are staying in La Fortuna, Uber was only about three dollars for us. We knew we were drinking so we chose to Uber instead of using the rental car. Bring a change of clothes and keep your belongings minimal. The less you carry around, the better. One of our towels was taken by someone, so instead of getting twenty dollars back we got ten, but honestly it was still worth it. If you are in La Fortuna and need a true recovery day, do not skip this. It is relaxing, beautiful, and the perfect balance to all the adventure.
Myself and both my kids 18 & 16. Great place, not too crowded which I feel is a major plus to a facility that could just overbook . Not the case here and the springs are super hot.
Baldi Hot Springs is absolutely amazing and well worth the visit. The pools are beautiful, and while there are many to choose from, we couldn’t really tell a huge difference in the temperatures—but that didn’t take away from the experience at all. My favorite pool was the one with the swim-up bar, which was such a fun and relaxing touch. We had heard reports that there might be issues with their liquor license due to the passing of the owner, but when we visited on 12/24/25, alcohol was being served without any problems. The grounds themselves are absolutely stunning—lush, well-maintained, and a pleasure to explore. If we had one disappointment, it’s that we simply didn’t have enough time there. You could easily spend an entire day enjoying everything Baldi has to offer. We would definitely go back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Arenal area.
