Hay lugares que no piden tu atención. Se lo llevan. Bacalar es uno de ellos. Pase un día entero explorando lo mejor de Bacalar: navegue por la laguna de los Siete Colores a bordo de un cómodo pontón y luego vuele a la deriva por Los Rápidos, donde una corriente natural lo lleva a través de canales cristalinos mientras la selva observa desde ambos lados. Para aquellos que quieran profundizar, Ichkabal espera — una de las ciudades mayas descubiertas más recientemente en México, aún intacta por las multitudes, donde una pirámide más alta que las de Chichén Itzá se eleva sobre un horizonte verde sin fin. Te pararás encima de él. Entenderás por qué los mayas eligieron este lugar. Grupo pequeño. Todas las entradas incluidas. Nada de prisa. Sólo Bacalar, como se suponía que debía ser.

Los viajeros caminarán por las antiguas plazas de una de las ciudades mayas excavadas más recientemente en México, guiados por un guía local profesional que da vida a la historia. Lo más destacado : escalar una pirámide masiva que se eleva más alto que las de Chichén Itzá, con vistas panorámicas de selva ininterrumpida que se extienden hasta el horizonte.
Los viajeros cruzarán la famosa Laguna de los Siete Colores a bordo de un cómodo pontón compartido, disfrutando de los cambiantes tonos turquesa que dan nombre a Bacalar. El barco se detiene en aguas abiertas para nadar, y se sirve fruta tropical fresca a bordo mientras disfruta del paisaje a un ritmo relajado.
Los viajeros entrarán en un canal natural donde una suave corriente subterránea fluye a través de agua cristalina. Aquí pueden nadar y flotar transportados por la corriente, rodeados de manglares y selva a ambos lados, una de las experiencias más únicas y memorables de Bacalar.

Tour guide picked us up at are choice of hotel in Bacalar, it was a nice drive to the ruins on newly paved highway, with good company from the tour guide. The excavation site has new facilities for sitting out of the sun, new clean washrooms and new walk ways. The ruins are definitely 10/10 being able to walk the steps, and the different levels of the pyramids really shows the shear size of the ancient city, are guide was very informative on Mayan culture and was able to answer are questions. Excellent tour guide and perfect English, this is a site I would definitely like to come back to as more of the city is excavated.

This trip was absolutely one of the highlights of our 3 week travels around Mexico. Armando was a fantastic guide and his knowledge and passion of the Mayan culture was unbeatable. The whole day was perfectly organised from our early morning pick so that we were able to enjoy Ichkabal alone with only the monkeys, toucans and other wildlife for company. Truly a magical experience. Then onto the Pontoon boat ride and of course a swim in Lake Bacalar. And finally Los Rapidos for fun in the river. Such a great day and perfect for those who are short on time and want to make the most of some of Bacalar’s highlights. Armando really made our day perfect and I would 100% recommend this guide and this trip to anyone.

Our full-day tour with Geraldo was absolutely incredible from start to finish! We explored the awe-inspiring Ichkabal ruins, took a breathtaking boat tour of the Bacalar Lagoon, and drifted through the stunning Los Rápidos.
